RESOLUTION NO. 59-3a? <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE <br />TO INCLUDE %gITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY <br />FINANCING PROGRAM TI~ D]SYgO_OPMENT OF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Fair, iow Street from <br />McFadden Avenue to Firs~t~ Street L and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fairview Street is aa important artery in the County of Orange <br />and of general County iaterest, and <br /> <br /> %~.~AS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Divisic~ 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Cede authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend i%mds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to a~ City in the <br />improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, provide <br />in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year <br />1960-61 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated <br />cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway <br />Financing Program, <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Aha <br />hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the Comity of Orange to allocate to <br />said City fro~ County Funds the amount of $52,000,00, said amount to be matched <br />by funds fro~ said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of Fairview <br />Street fron McFadden Avenue to First Street, and for the acquisition of necessary <br />rights of w~y; said improvements and acquisition of rights of way to be in <br />accordance with the attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTEER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange <br />is hereby requested to find that said work smd acq~lsitiun of rights of way on <br />Fairview Street, in the manner provided, is in the general County interest, <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER P~SOL¥~u that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha agrees <br />with the basic concepts of the Ara, rial Highways Financing Program; and further <br />agrees that its share of the c~st of improvements and rights of way will be <br />available for the fiscal year 1960-61e <br /> <br /> <br />
