RESOLUTION NO. 59-3~9 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITI OF <br />SANTA AMA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE <br />TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY <br />FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEUELOP~ENT OF <br />FAJ/~ IEW S T~.~. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Fairview Street _from <br />Delhi Road to Segerstrom Av~u~ and -- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. Fairview Street is an important artery in the County of Orange <br />and of general Oounty interest, and <br /> <br /> WHE~EAS. Article 2 and Article 3. Chapter 9. Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code amthorises a County. if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to an~ City in the <br />i~provement, construction or repair of a etreet within a City. and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. the Board of Supervisors intends to. by appropriate action, provide <br />in the County budget of the Special R~ad Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year <br />1960-61 a sma of money for the i~pr~vement of streets withim the incorporated <br />cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway <br />Financing Programe <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby req~este the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate <br />to said City from County Funds the amount of $12.000.00. said amount to be <br />matched by funds from said City. to be used to aid said City in the iw~rovement <br />of Fair,iow Street from De~M~ Road to Segerstroa Avenue. and for the acquisition <br />of necessary rights of way~ said improvements and acquisition of rights of way <br />to be in accordance with the attached project statement~ <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange <br />is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of way on <br />Fairview Street. in the manner provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that. by this Resolution. the City of Santa Aha agrees <br />with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further <br />agrees that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will be avail- <br />able for the fiscal year 1960-61. <br /> <br /> <br />
