RESOLUTION NO. _~0 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO <br />INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING <br />PROGRAM THE D~V~LOPMENT OF SEGERSTROM AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to i~prove Segeretrom Avenue from <br />Harbor Boulevard to Greenvill~ st~e~, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, SegerstromAvanue is an important artery in the County of Orange <br />and of general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEP~AS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code authorizes a County, ~f it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users TaxVund for aid to any City in the <br />improvement, construction or repair of a Street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, provide <br />in the County budgeS of the Special Road I~provement Fund for the Fiscal Year <br />1960-61 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated <br />cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway <br />Financing Programe <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Arm <br />hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to <br />said City frc~County Funds the amount of $28,000.00, said amount to be matched <br />by funds from said City. to be used to aid said City in the improvement of <br />Segerstrom Avenue from Harbor Boulevard to Greenville Street, and for the <br />acquisition of necessary rights of way; said improvements and acquisition of <br />rights of way to be in accordance with the attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of <br />way on Segerstrom Avenue, in the manner provided, is in the general County <br />interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha <br />agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways FinanCing Program; and <br />furhter agrees that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will <br />be available for the fiscal year 1960-61. <br /> <br /> <br />
