HESOLUT O A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT TO ABATE THE PUBLIC NUISANCE HERETOFOI~E DECLARED BY - THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, TO-~VIT: WEEDS WHICH BEAR SEEDS OF A WINGY OR DOWNY NATURE AND ATTAIN SUCH A LARGE GROWTH AS TO BECO~E A FIRE MENACE ~WHEN DRY AND WHICH ARE NOXIOUS AND DANGEROUS, GROWING UPON CERTAIN STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, BY HAVING THE WEEDS REFERRED TO RE~OVED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l: Pursuant to provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the. State of California, entitled "An Act Author- izing Municipalities to Declare Noxious or Dangerous Weeds Growing upon the Streets or Sidewalks or Private Property within Munici- palities to be a Public Nuisance, Creating a Lien upon the Property Fronting upon such Streets or Sidewalks or upon which such Nuisance Exists for the Cost of Abating the Same", approved ~y 26, 1915, and amendments thereto, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, having acquired Jurisdiction so to do, hereby orders the Street Superintendent of said City to abate the public nuisance hereto- fore declared to exist in said City of Santa Ana, to-mit: Weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and which are noxious and dangerous, growing upon the streets or sidew,alks in front of or upon all that private property described in Resolution No. 3333 of the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, passed and adopted on the 20th day of March, 194[~, to which resolution reference is hereby made for further particular description of said private property. SECTION 2: Any property owner s~all have the right to have any of said weeds removed at his the same is done prior to the arrival of or his representatives to do the same. own expense, providing the Street Superintendent
