Ana do further declare that the roads, lands or premises affected <br />by the closing up and abandonment of the hereinbefore described <br />alleyway and benefitted by said improvements are Lots One (1) to <br /> <br />Sixteen (16) both inclusive, <br /> <br />shown on Page 41, in Book 4, <br />Orange 0ounty, Califo~nia. <br /> <br />in Block "B", Fifth Street Tract, as <br />of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of <br /> <br /> SECTION 3:, That the p~ooeedings for the closing up and <br />abandonment of the aforesaid alleyway shall be had and taken under <br />and in acco~danoe with an act of the legielature of the State of <br />California designated and known as "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR LAYING <br />OUT, OPENING, EXTENDING, WIDENING, STRAIGHTENING, OR CLOSING UP IN <br />WHOLE OR IN PAST ANY STREET, SQUARE, LANE, ALLEY, COURT OR PLACE <br />WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES, AND TO CONDEMN AND ACQUIRE ANY AND ALL LAND <br />AND PROPERTY NECESSAHY OR CONVENIENT FOR TNAT PUI~POSE", approved <br />March 6, 1~9, Statutes of 1SEg, p. ?0, and amendments thereto. <br /> <br /> SECTION 4: The Street Superintendent shall cause to be <br />conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work and <br />improvement at not more than 300 feet in distance apart, but not <br />less than three in all, notices of the passage of this resolution, <br />in the fo~m and manner as required by law; he shall also cause a <br />notice similar in substance to be published for a period of ten (10) <br />days in the SANTA ANA DALLY EVENING REGISTER, a daily newspaper <br />printed, published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, and <br />hereby designated for that purpose by the City Council, containing <br />a statement of the fact of the passage of this resolution of inten- <br />tion, the date thereof, and briefly describing the work or improve- <br />ment proposed, and referring to this resolution for further particulars. <br /> <br /> SECTION ~: That any person interested in objecting to said <br /> work or improvement or to the extent of the district Or lands to be <br /> affected or benefitted by said work or improvement, and to be assessed <br /> to pay the cost and expense thereof, may make written objections to <br /> the same within ten days after the expiration of the time of the <br /> publication of said notice, which objection shall be delivered to the <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
