Salisbury's Addition to Santa Ana, as <br />shown on Page ~2, in Book l0 Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Los Angeles <br />County, California. <br /> <br /> SECTION 7: That the'proceedings for the closing up and <br />abandonment of the aforesai~ alleyway shall be had and taken under <br />and in, accordance with an act of the legislature of the State of <br />California designated and known as mAN ACT TO PB~VIDE FOR LAYING OUT, <br />OPENING, EXTENDING, WIDENING, STRAIGHTENING, OR CLOSING UP IN WHOLE <br />OR IN PART ANY ~TREET, SQUARE, LANE, ALLEY, COURT OR PLACE WITHIN <br />MUNICIPALITIES, AND TO CO~)EMN AND ACQUIRE ANY AND ALL LAND AND <br />PROPERTY NECESSARY OR CONVENIENT FOR THAT PURPOSE#, approved March 6, <br />1589, Statutes of 1~89, p. ?O, and amendments thereto. <br /> <br /> SECTION ~: The Street Superintendent shall cause to be <br />conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work and <br />improvement at not more than 300 feet in distance apart, but not less <br />than three in all, notices of the passage of this resolution, in the <br />form and manner as required by law; he shall also cause a notice <br />similar in substance to be published for a period of ten (lC) days <br />in the SANTA ANA DAILY E~fENING REGISTER, a daily newspaper printed, <br />published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana, and hereby desig- <br />nated for that purpose by the City Council, containing a statement of <br />the fact of the passage of this resolution of intention, the date <br />thereof, and briefly describing the work or improvement proposed, and <br />referring to this resolution for further particulars. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5: That any person interested in objecting to said <br />work or improvement or to the extent of the district or lands to be <br />affected or benefitted by said work or improvement, and to be assessed <br />to pay the cost and expense thereof, may ma~e written objections to <br />the same within ten days after the expiration of the time of the <br />publication of said notice, which objection shall be delivered to the <br /> <br />-2-- <br /> <br /> <br />
