WEEDS WHICH BEAR SEEDS OF A WINGY OR DOWNY NATUHE ~ ATTAIN SUCH A ~ GROWTH AS TO BECOME A FIHE MF~NACE WHEN DIq~ ~ WHICH ARE NOXIOUS AND DANGEROUS, .~ING UPON CEItTAIN STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND P~VATE ~I%0PERTY IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, BY HAVING T~ WEEDS ~FEPJ~ED TO B~0VED. THE CITY 00UNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: ~ECTION ~: Pursuant to provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled man Act Author-- izing Municipalities to Declare Noxious or Dangerous Weeds Growing upon the Streets or SideWalks or Private Property within Munici- palities to be a Public Nuisance/ Creating a Lien upon the Property Fronting upon such Streets or Sidewalks or upon which such Nuisance Exists for the Cost of Abating the Same#, approved May 26, 1915, and amendments thereto, the City ~ouncil of.the City of Santa Aha, having acquired Jurisdiction so to do, hereby orders the Street Superintendent of said Otty to abate the public nuisance hereto- fore declared to exist in said City of Santa Ana, to-wit: Weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and which are noxious and dangerous, growing upon the streets or sidewalks in front of or upon all that private property described in Resolution of the City Council of the City of .~anta Ana, passed and adopted on the 19th day of March, 19~, to which resolution reference is hereby made for further particular description of said private property. ~CTION 2.' Any property owner shall have the right to have any of said weeds removed at his own expense, p~oviding the same is done prior to th.e arrival of the Street Superintendent or his representatives to do the same. -1-
