gr ~nd floor Clerk, ~ City Hall. Ballots may be cast at any time between the hours of 9 a.m., snd 8 p.m., on the 15th day of June, 1945. A roster shall be established for each of the three classes of employees entitled to vote, on which shall appear the names of all employees in the respective class, a space for the signature of each such employee, and a space for the notation of the fact of his having voted. Every employee desiring to vote shall present himself at office of the City Clerk within the time ~ereinabove stated, and, having signed the roster, shall be given a ballot and then and there retire to a voting booth which shall be pro- vided, in which he may secretly mark his ballot. He shall thereupon and in the presence of the City Clerk, or his duly authorized deputy, fact of his having roster. The ballot box shall be sealed by the City Clerk at or before the hour of 9 a.m., on the day of the election and the box shall not be opened thereafter until delivered to the canvassing committee as provided in (c) hereof. deposit the same in the ballot box, and the voted shall thereupon be entered on the (c) CountinE the Ballots and D. eclaring the Results. - At the hour of 8 p.m., on the day of the election, the City Clerk shall publicly announce the closing of the election and thereupon deliver the ballot box to a committee of three citizens consisting of Philip ~. Brown , , Allen A. Mandy and ~ard Frank who shall Thereupon publicly open the box and count the ballots, tabulating separately the "Yes" and "No" votes cast by (a) City policemen; (b) City firemen; and (c) employees other than City policemen and City firemen. The results of the election shall then be publicly declared by this committee and shall be formally presented by it to the City Council at its next regular meeting.
