gr ~nd floor <br />Clerk, ~ City Hall. Ballots may be cast at any time <br /> <br />between the hours of 9 a.m., snd 8 p.m., on the 15th day <br />of June, 1945. A roster shall be established for each of <br />the three classes of employees entitled to vote, on which <br />shall appear the names of all employees in the respective <br />class, a space for the signature of each such employee, and <br />a space for the notation of the fact of his having voted. <br />Every employee desiring to vote shall present himself at <br />office of the City Clerk within the time ~ereinabove stated, <br />and, having signed the roster, shall be given a ballot and <br />then and there retire to a voting booth which shall be pro- <br />vided, in which he may secretly mark his ballot. He shall <br />thereupon and in the presence of the City Clerk, or his duly <br />authorized deputy, <br />fact of his having <br />roster. <br /> <br /> The ballot box shall be sealed by the City Clerk at or <br />before the hour of 9 a.m., on the day of the election and the <br />box shall not be opened thereafter until delivered to the <br />canvassing committee as provided in (c) hereof. <br /> <br />deposit the same in the ballot box, and the <br />voted shall thereupon be entered on the <br /> <br /> (c) CountinE the Ballots and D. eclaring the Results. - <br />At the hour of 8 p.m., on the day of the election, the <br /> <br />City Clerk shall publicly announce the closing of the election <br />and thereupon deliver the ballot box to a committee of three <br /> <br />citizens consisting of Philip ~. Brown , , <br /> <br /> Allen A. Mandy and ~ard Frank <br /> <br />who shall Thereupon publicly open the box and count the <br />ballots, tabulating separately the "Yes" and "No" votes cast <br />by (a) City policemen; (b) City firemen; and (c) employees <br />other than City policemen and City firemen. The results of <br />the election shall then be publicly declared by this committee <br />and shall be formally presented by it to the City Council at <br />its next regular meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
