RESOLUTION 64-25 ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF <br />PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIGNATING AN <br />APPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID TERRITORY OF <br />"HARBOR AND EDINGER N. E. ANNEX" AND GIVING <br />NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore the Boundary Commission and the Local <br />Agency Formation Commission of Orange Countyl~R~ approved the <br />description of territory hereinbelow contained and its annexation <br />to the City of Santa Aha, California, and a petition requesting <br />annexation of said territory, signed by the owners of all of said <br />territory, has been presented to the City Council. The Santa Aha <br />Planning Commission has approved the annexation of said territory. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br />declares its intention to annex all of the territory hereinbelow <br />described under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited <br />Territory Act of 1939; hereby finds and declares that all of the <br />owners of said territory have petitioned for annexation to Santa Ana; <br />that said territory is uninhabited within the meaning of Government <br />Code Section 35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; <br />that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, lies in <br />the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Southeast corner of the "West Santa Ana <br />Annex" to the City of Santa Aha as adopted by Santa Aha <br />City Ordinance NS-367, said point lying on the intersection <br />of the Westerly right of way line of the former Newbert <br />Protection District Channel for the Santa Ana River with <br />the North line of the South One-half (S.½) of the South <br />One-half (S.½) of the South One-half (S.½) of Section 15 in <br />Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and <br />Meridian, and running thence West 400 feet, more or less, <br />along said Santa Aha City boundary to the Southeast corner <br />of the Northeast Quarter (N.E.¼) of the Southwest Quarter <br />(S.W.¼) of the Southwest Quarter (S.W.~) of said Section 15, <br />and to an angle point in the original city boundary of the <br />City of Fountain Valley; thence departing from said Santa <br />Ana city boundary and running South, 1300 feet, more or less, <br />along the most Easterly boundary of said City of Fountain <br />Valley and along the East line of the South One-half (S.½) <br />of the Southwest Quarter (S.W.¼) of the Southwest Quarter <br />(S.W.%) of said Section 15, and its Southerly prolongation <br />to an angle point in said Fountain Valley city boundary and <br />to the Southeast corner of the North One-half (N.½) of the <br />Northwest Quarter (N.W.¼) of the Northwest Quarter (N.W.~) <br />of Section 22, in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San <br />Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence departing from said <br />Fountain Valley city boundary and running East 100 feet, <br />more or less, along the South line of the North One-half <br />(N.½) of the North One-half (N.½) of the Northwest Quarter <br />(N.W.¼) of said Section 22 to a point on the West line of <br />said Santa Aha River Channel right of way; thence North 14° <br />01' 06" East, 790 feet, more or less, along said right of <br />way line to a point in a tangent curve concave Northwesterly <br />and having a radius of 22,718.33 feet; thence along said <br />curve and along said right of way line, an arc distance of <br />550 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That "HARBOR AND EDINGER N. E. ANNEX" <br />is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which said territory <br />shall be known for the purpose of this annexation. <br /> <br /> <br />
