RESOLUTION 64-73 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A <br />QUITCLAIM DEED TO LOTTIE M. LAYTON IN EXCHANGE <br />FOR AN EASEMENT DEED AND A CASH CONSIDERATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an exchange with LOTTIE M. LAYTON has been agreed <br />upon whereby the City will quitclaim to her certain real property <br />at the northwest corner of Edinger and Cypress Avenues in con- <br />sideration of a deed presented to the City by LOTTIE M. LAYTON <br />conveying an easement for street purposes on the west side of <br />Cypress Avenue, north of Edinger Avenue, and a cash consideration <br />of $1,087.71. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow <br />Numbers 377516 and 377524-ET with Title Insurance and Trust Company, <br />Santa Aha, California. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana <br />accepts said deed and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, <br />is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby authorized <br />to sign the escrow instructions and the Mayor and the Clerk of the <br />Council are hereby authorized to execute a deed quitclaiming to <br />LOTTIE M. LAYTON real property at the northwest corner of Edinger <br />and Cypress Avenues in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, <br />State of California, described as: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 36 in Block C of Tract No. 245, as shown <br />on a map thereof recorded in Book 13, page 27, Miscellaneous <br />Maps, Records of Orange County, California, lying north of <br />the following described line: <br /> <br />Begin~ing at a point on the east line of Lot 34 in said <br />block 16.069 feet north of the southeast corner of said <br />Lot 34, and running thence southwesterly along the arc of <br />a curve concave northwesterly having a radius of 25.00 feet, <br />and tangent to said east line of Lot 34, through a central <br />angle of 90° 09' 30" to a tangent line which is parallel <br />with and 9.00 feet South, measured at right angles from the <br />north line of said Lot 36; thence west along said tangent <br />line 133.89 feet more or less to the west line of said <br />Lot 36. <br />Grantor hereby reserves all vehicular access rights to <br />Edinger Avenue from the lands above described excepting <br />the West 20 feet. <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />in accordance with said Escrow instruction. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of May, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK oF <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
