RESOLUTION NO. 5819 <br /> <br />Resolution Authorizing and Directing the <br />City Clerk to Advertise for Bids for the <br />Design and Installation of a Painter's <br />Trolley and Support Around the Inside <br />Di~neter of a 80 ft. ~ diameter, Elevated, <br />Steel Watem Tank, and for the Installation <br />of New Tie Rods to the said Tank, in the <br />City of Santa Ana, and Fixing the Prevail- <br />ing Wage Rate. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />advertise as required by law for the receipt of sealed bids or <br />proposals for the Design and Installation of a Painter's Trolley <br />and Support around the Inside Diameter of a 80 ft. in diameter, <br />Elevated, Steel Water Tank and for the Installation of New Tie Rods <br />to the said Tank, which said advertisement shall be substantially <br />in the following words and figures, to-wit: <br /> <br />NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS <br /> <br /> IH pursuance of a resolution of the Board of Trustees of <br />the City of Santa Ana, Orange County, California, adopted direct- <br />ing this nbtice, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the said Board of <br />Trustees will receive at the office of the City Clerk in the City <br />Hall of the City of Santa Ana, on or before the hour of 7:30 o'clock <br />p.m., on tile 15th day of December, 1947, sealed bids or proposals <br />for the Design and Installation of a Painter's Trolley and Support <br />Around the Inside Diameter of a 80 ft. in Diameter, Elevated, Steel <br />Water Tank, and for the Installation of New Tie Rods to the said <br />Tank, in the City of Santa Ana, California. <br /> <br /> Bids shall be addressed to the Board of Trustees, Santa <br />Ana, California, marked "Bid for Installation of Painter's ~rolley <br />and Tie Rods". <br /> <br /> Notice is hereby given bidders that in accordance with <br />the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the Board of <br />Trustees of the City of Santa Aha has ascertained the prevailing <br />rate of per diem wages for each craft or type of workman or <br />mechanic needed to execute the contract which will be awarded the <br />successful bidder, to be as follows: <br /> <br />Classification <br /> <br />Rate Per Hour <br /> <br />Carpenter $1.90 <br />Cutting Torch 0pr.
