RESOLIFflON 64-96 AUTHORIZING DIRECTOR <br />OF PUBLIC WOBKS TO pREPARE AND SUBMIT <br />REQUESTS FOR REIMBURS~2~T OF APPROVED <br />ALLOCATIONS AND AUTNORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO SIGN SAME <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 1953 Legislature by Statutes 1953, Chapter 1739, appropriated <br />$500,000.00 from the State Highway Fund to the Public Utilities Commissic~ of the <br />State of California for allocation by said Cnmmission to cities, counties, and <br />cities and counties, on the basis of need as determfned by the said <br />to assist them in paying their share of the cost of constructing grade crossing <br />protection work on city, county, and city and county streets, roads and highways; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 18, 1954, the Public Utilities Commission of the <br />State of California issued C~ission Order No. ~8565, as amended, pursuant to <br />the said statute, establishing procedures to be folly*ed by cities and counties <br />in requesting such allocations from the Crossing Protection Fund: <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~q~), that the signature of the Mayor, which appears <br />on submitted applications to the Public Utilities Co.~ission for allocations of <br />funds by the City of Santa Aha in accordance with the procedure established by <br />said Order, is ratified and approved; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURT~t~ RESOLVED~ that the Mayor is authorized to sign each <br />application of the City of Santa Ama to the Public Utilities Co.~ ssion for <br />allocation of funds from the Crossing Protection Fund, in accordance with the <br />procedure established by said Order; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURI',,:~ RESOLVED~ that in accordance with the procedure established <br />by said Or~er, the Director of Public Works of the City of Santa Aha is hereby <br />authorized to prepare and submit to the Public Utilities Commission of the State <br />of California all requests for reimbursement for grade crossing projects covered <br />by allocation. <br /> <br /> PASS~ AND ADOP£'~ by the City Council of the City of Santa Ama at its <br />regular meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />C~ERK OF THE ~OUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />CObalT OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
