RESOLUTION NO. 38~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, a <br />Municipal Corporation of the Fifth Class, in the County of Orange, <br />State of California, on September 20, 1948 adopted Resolution Num- <br />ber 3701 requesting the County of Orange to grant aid to said City <br />in amount of $40,473.00 out of the County's apportionment of the <br />California Highway User's Tax Fund, for the improvement of West <br />Seventeenth Street in said City as per detailed plans; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said County of Orange thereafter found such improve- <br />ment to be in the general County interest and said request was <br />granted and said work as outlined has been done and said work was <br />regularly done, completed, and accepted by the City and County and <br />the sum of Thirty-six Thousand, Four Hundred Eighty-three Dollars <br />and Six Cents ($36,~83.06).was paid to said City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, thereafter said City by Resolution Number 3837 / <br />requested approval of the balance of said grant for construction <br />of curb and surfacing of the~shoulder of a part of West Seventeenth <br />street, which said request was approved by the County of Orange as <br />being in the general interest of the County and a g~ant of Three <br />Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-nine Dollars and Ninety-four Cents <br />($3,989.95) was made for said work by a Resolution of the Board of <br />Supervisors of Orange County, adopted September 13, 1949, the terms <br />and conditions of which Resolution were accepted by the City Council <br />of said City October 3, 19~9: <br /> <br /> NOW, ThL~HEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED: That the City <br />Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby finds that the work as pro- <br />posed for the construction of curbs and the surfacing of the shoulder <br />of a portion of West Seventeenth Street in said City in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications attached to and submitted with <br />Resolution Number 3837 to the County of Orange, has been completed <br />and said work is hereby accepted. That the total cost of said <br />project was Five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-six Dollars and Eighty- <br />eight Cents ($5,356.88) and that there is remaining, the sum of <br /> <br /> <br />
