RESOLUTION N0.37~0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL DELIMITING A SITE F0R A CIVIC CENTER AND ADOPTING SAME AS A SECTION OF THE MASTER PLAN FOR THE LOCATION OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana has held hearings upon a general plan of delimiting a site for the location of public buildings and did adopt as a section of the Master Plan for said purpose the area bounded by Sixth Street on the south; Eighth Street and Church Street on the north; Sycamore ~treet on the east and the center-line of Ross Street on the west, and WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing in the matter, as required by law, at which time no objections were offered, but favorable comment was expressed, and WHEREAS, certain county buildings are now located in a portion of the area described above, and the county proposes to establish additional buildings in the near future, and WHEREAS, designating a general location for public huildings is the most effective manner of causing the various governmental agencies to place their locally required buildings in a central area with the best possible economic and physical relationship and with harmonious design, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby adopts as a general plan that the area bounded by Sixth Street on the South, Eighth Street and Church Street on the North, Sycamore Street on the East and the center- line of Ross Street on the West, be designated as a section of the master plan of the City of Santa Aha delimiting a site for a civic center for the location of public buildings. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on Monday, the 7th day of March, 1949. ATTEST: City Clerk (SEAL)
