In accordance with the provisions of Section 1V77o5 of the Labor Code as amended by Chapter ~?l, Statutes of 1B$~, and in accordance with the regulations of the California Apprenticeship Council, properly indentured apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work. The bidder must submit with his proposal a satisfactory check certified by a responsible bank and payable to the order of the City of Santa Aha, or a bidder,s bond, for an amount not less than ten (10) per cent of the aggregate sum of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract if the same is awarded to him, and in event of failure to enter into such contract said check or bond shall become the property of the Ctty~ The amount of the bond to be given to secure a faithful performance of the contract for said work shall be fifty (50) per cent of the contract price thereof, and an additional bond in an amount equal to fifty (50) per cent of the contract price for said work shall be given to secure the payment of claims for any materials or supplies furnished for the performance of the work contracted to be done by the Contractor~ or any work or labor of any kind done thereon and the Contractor will also be required to furnish a certificate that he carries compensation insurance cover- ing his employees upon work to be done under contract which may be entere~ into between him and the said City for the construction of said worko No b~d will be accepted from a Contractor who is not licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Contractors License Act, or to whom a pPopoeal form has not been issued by the City Engineer. The work i$ to be done in accordance with the profiles, plans and specifications of the City of Santa Ana on file in the office of the Ctty Engineer, Room ~O1, of the City Hall of Santa Ana, California° Copies of the plans and specifications will be furnished upon application to the City Engineer for which a deposit of ten (10) dollars will be required° The deposit will be refunded upon return of plans and specifiCations°
