RESOLUTION 64-101 COMMENDING HUGH H. FOREMAN, JR. <br />FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS THE <br />DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, HUGH H. FOREMAN, JR. was employed by the City of <br />Santa Ana on May 11, 1953, and for more than eleven years has <br />continuously served the City and has held the position of Director <br />of Public Works for the past ten years. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Aha that during this decade the City has been con- <br />tending with exceedingly rapid growth, both in area and population, <br />which has required the extension of sewer and water mains, lines <br />and services, of streets and of all other public works services <br />within the City; that, in the opinion of the members of this <br />Council, no small part of the credit for the outstanding manner in <br />which these extensions have been accomplished belongs to the <br />Director of Public Works during this period; and that by reason of <br />the constant effort by the Public Works Department under <br />Mr. Foreman's leadership Santa Aha has been able to maintain its <br />position of more and better services with a tax rate reduction <br />during each of said years, wherefore, this City Council expresses <br />its gratitude and appreciation for the long hours of overtime and <br />the quality of leadership and direction afforded to the Public <br />Works Department by Mr. Foreman, expresses the thanks of the <br />employee group and the informed citizens of this City and the <br />regret of the official Santa Ana family and many of the developers <br />and subdividers who are continuously operating in Santa Ana at <br />Mr. Foreman's decision to leave public service. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this City Council further <br />expresses best wishes of its individual members to Mr. Foreman's <br />future success. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of June, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
