RESOLUTION 64-137 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF SA~A ANA AND THE COUNTY OF <br />ORANGE FOR ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY BY <br />EACH OF SAID PARTIES, TRANSFER OF TITLE TO CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY BETWEEN SAID PARTIES, INDIVIDUAL A~) JOINT <br />USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY PRESENTLY OWNED AND <br />PROPERTY TO BE ACQUIB~ FOR THE EXPANSION, DEVELOP- <br />MENT AND USE OF THE CIVIC CENTER SITE IN SAID CITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana and the County of Orange <br />have agreed upon the advisability and need for increased <br />governmental facilities in the Santa Ana Civic Center and the <br />desirability of cooperative effort in the acquisition of real <br />property, the transfer of real property title and the development <br />and use of said property by said parties to provide adequate <br />facilities and to create a mutually beneficial civic center. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the <br />Clerk of the Council are hereby directed to execute that certain <br />agreement providing for acquisition of real property, transfer of <br />real property title, joint consultation and agreement in the <br />development and use of said real property for civic center purposes <br />to enlarge, develop and utilize areas west of Ross Street, between <br />Fourth and Eighth Streets, to an alley lying west of Olive Street, <br />and the acquisition of property along the north side of Sixth <br />Street bounded on the east, north and west by City-owned property, <br />and to deliver the same to W. E. ST.
