RESOLUTION 64-143 CHANGING RESOLUTIONS 64-117 <br />AND 64-131 TO PROVIDE A LONGER PERIOD DURING <br />WHICH THE POLLS S~ALL BE OPEN FOR THE SPECIAL <br />ELECTION ON THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION OF <br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND TUSTIN <br />N. W. ANNEXATION" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 3, 1964, the City Council adopted <br />Resolution 64-117, the title of which referred to a special <br />municipal election, and which Resolution fixed the hours during <br />which the polls should be open as "between the hours of 8:00 A.M. <br />and 6:00 P.M.", and adopted Resolution 64-131 on September 8, 1964, <br />which Resolution in its first paragraph referred to the calling of <br />"a special municipal election"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the word "municipal" is not appropriate in refer- <br />ring to an annexation election and said polls should remain open <br />between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Resolution 64-131 is <br />hereby amended by deleting the word "municipal" in every case where <br />it appears before the word "election", and Resolution 64-117 is <br />hereby amended by deleting the word "municipal" therefrom in every <br />case where it precedes the word "election", and the second sentence <br />in the fourth paragraph thereof is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />The polls shall be open between the hours of 7:00 A.M. <br />and 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of September, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
