RESOLUTION 64-157 OVERRULING THE DECISION OF <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING A VARIANCE <br />ON APPLICATION NO. 2002 FILED BY GEORGE H. <br />CALLENS, SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after hearings on notice, the Planning Commission <br />DENIED a variance on Variance Application No. 2002, filed by GEORGE <br />H. CALLENS for the purpose of establishing a beauty shop at 1423 <br />South Broadway, Santa Ana, California, in an R-3 District; and <br />Appeal Application No. 139 was duly filed by the applicant presenting <br />the matter to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing, has determined <br />that all of the statutes and ordinance requirements for the granting <br />of a variance are adequately met and that said variance should be <br />granted subject to certain applicable conditions. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council does <br />hereby grant a variance on Variance Application No. 2002 to allow <br />the establishment of a beauty shop An an R-3 District; said variance <br />is granted subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That development be according to plot plan, except for minor <br />modifications approved by the Planning Department. <br /> <br />That one single-faced or double-faced, non-flashing sign, not <br /> to exceed 12 square feet, be permitted; said sign to be <br /> approved by the Planning Department. (These are the "P" <br /> District sign regulations.) <br /> <br />3.
