RESOLUTION 64-162 CHANGING THE NAME OF <br />"MAC ARTHUR BOULEVARD" AS IT EXISTS IN THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA TO "TALBERT AVENUE" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and the Planning <br />Commission have recommended that the name of MacArthur Boulevard <br />in Santa Ana, California, be changed to Talbert Avenue, and the <br />City Council studied said recommended name change and has fouDd <br />that MacArthur Boulevard has traditionally existed as a north and <br />south street connecting South Main Street southerly to the Coast <br />Highway; that because of recent radical realignment of the northerly <br />portion of MacArthur Boulevard it now has been extended into <br />Santa Aha across Newport Avenue to Main Street and is in alignment <br />with Talbert Avenue across the southerly part of the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the portion of street <br />heretofore known as "MAC ARTHUR BOULEVARD", as it now exists in the <br />City of Santa Aha between Newport Avenue and Main Street, is hereby <br />changed in name and shall hereafter be known as "TALBERT AVENUE" to <br />avoid confusion on the part of the public and emergency services. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Aha at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of November, 1964. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />C~'.ERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
