one voter. The Oity ~erk shall cause to be printed in <br />large clear type on cards, instructions for the guidance <br />of electors in obtaining and markin~ their ballots. He <br />shall furnish one such card to every registered voter at <br />the same time and in the same manner that he mailed the <br />sample ballot as hereinbefore set forth; and twelve such <br />cards to the Board of glection ~u each election precinct <br />in said City, at the same time and in the same manner <br />as the printed ballot and sample ballot. The Board of <br />~lectton shall post at least one of such cards in each <br />booth or compartment provided for the ~reparatiou <br />of ballots and not less than three of such cards at other <br />places in ~nd about the ~ot!ing places on the day of <br /> <br />election. Sections 1El4 and 1S15 <br />and section 61 of the Pe~al Code <br />each of said cards. <br /> <br /> The ballots to be used at <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> "Shall the Proposed Oharter <br /> <br /> be Adopted" <br /> <br />of th~ Political Code <br />shall also be printed on <br /> <br />maid election shall read <br /> <br />Yea <br /> <br /> All those voters who shall stamp a cross X after the <br />~rinted word "Yes" shall be understood as voting in favor <br />of the ratification of the proposed charter, and all <br />those voters who shall stamp a cross X after the printed <br />word,"No" shall be understood as voting against the rati- <br />fication of the proposed charter. <br /> <br /> Section ~, ~oti~e of said election containing the <br />proposition to vote for or against the proposed charter <br />for said City, the names of the Ins~ectors, judges, clerks, <br />and ballot clerks constituting the boards of election, the <br />time of opening and clos!n~ the ?oles ~nd the polling ~lace s <br />shall be given by the 0tty 0lark as required by law and <br />publish said Notice once a day for at least ten days <br />preceding the ~y of said election in the "~anta Ana Daily <br />~venin~ Register", a newspaper ~ublished six times Der <br />week and generally circulated in said Oity as often as <br />said newspaper is printed. <br /> <br /> Section ~. All Ordinances in conflict with this <br />Ordinance are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> Section ~. The Oity olerk shall cause this Ordinance <br />to be published five times in the "Santa Aha Daily ~vening <br />Recister", a newspaper published and generally ciroulated <br /> <br /> in said City, and thereupon <br /> effect and be in force. <br /> <br />~ The above ordinance was. <br /> <br />and thereafter it shall take <br /> <br />passed and adopted this 18th <br /> <br />day of December,1912, by the following vote,to-wit: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, Grubb and <br /> <br />Ey. <br /> <br /> <br />
