RESOLUTION 64-172 OVERRULING THE DECISION OF <br />THE PLANNING COFLMISSION AND GRANTING A VA~qIANCE <br />ON APPLICATION NO. 2017 FILED BY THE MEREDITH <br />COMPANY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Planning <br />Commission has DENIED a variance on Variance Application No. 2017, <br />filed by THE MEREDITH COMPANY, and Appeal Application No. 144 was <br />duly filed by the applicant presenting the matter to the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after public hearing, has <br />determined that all of the statute and ordinance requirements for <br />the granting of a variance have been adequately met and that said <br />Variance should be granted. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council does <br />hereby overrule the decision of the Planning Commission and does <br />hereby grant a variance on Variance Application 2017, filed by THE <br />MEREDITH COMPANY, to eliminate the required fences except around <br />the rear yard and to allow balconies and covered patios to be <br />constructed at the applicant's option and not be considered as <br />open space for Tract 4000 located south of Santa Clara Avenue, <br />between Wright Street and Tustin Avenue.
