RESOLUTION 64-187 DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE <br />CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS HELD IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />CALIFORNIA, NOVEMBER 3RD, 1964 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance NS-754 called a <br />special election to be held in the city of Santa Aha on November 3rd, <br />1964, to submit a proposition to amend Section 402 of the Charter <br />of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposition voted on at said election was in <br />words and figures as follows: <br /> <br />D <br /> <br /> PROPOSITION D <br /> <br />Shall the Charter of the City of Santa : : <br />Aha be amended by amending Section 402 : : <br />thereof to provide that each member of : YES : <br />the City Council shall receive $250.00 : : <br />each month as compensation for his : : <br />services and the member elected by the : : <br />city Council to fill the office of : : <br />Mayor shall receive an additional ~ount : : <br />each month of $50.00? : NO : <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council by Ordinance NS-755 provided for <br />and called a special municipal election to be held in the City of <br />Santa Ana on November 3rd, 1964, to submit to the voters a question <br />raised by referend~ra petition, and said electionwas duly consoli- <br />dated, and the election called by Ordinance NS-754 was duly <br />consolidated, with the State-wide General Election to be held upon <br />the same date; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposition voted upon at said election was in <br />words and figures as follows: <br /> <br />E <br /> <br /> PROPOSITION E <br /> <br />Shall Ordinance NS-729 changing territory : YES : : <br />therein described from the R-1 (Single : : : <br />Family Residence District) to the R-4 <br />(Suburban Apartment District) be adopted : : : <br />to become effective in the City of : NO : : <br />Santa Aha? : : : <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a copy of the records as entered on the minutes of <br />the Board of Supervisors of Orange County showing the results of <br />the canvass of the returns of said special elections and absentee <br />votes cast thereat has been duly received. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council <br />hereby finds, determines and declares that the votes cast at said <br />special elections for arid against said propositions and the absentee <br />ballots cast for and against said propositions show the total of <br />all votes cast on each of said propositions and the total of said <br />votes for and against each of said propositions to be, and said <br />totals are, as follows: <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
