I~OLUTION 6~-204 REQUESTING THE COUNTY <br />OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL <br />HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT <br />OF CERTAIN STREETS <br /> <br />WPL~HEAS~ the City of Santa Ana desires to improve certain streets, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets <br /> <br />and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds ap- <br /> <br />portioned to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for Aid to any City <br /> <br />in the improvement, construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, <br /> <br />provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal <br /> <br />Year 1965-66 a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated <br /> <br />cities of the County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway <br /> <br />Financing Program. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Ana <br /> <br />hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to <br /> <br />said City from County Funds the amount of $684,000, said amount to be matched by <br /> <br />funds from said City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of certain <br /> <br />streets as follows: <br />ST~£ <br /> <br />LIMITS OF PROJECT <br /> <br /> REQUESTED <br />COUNTY ALLOCATION <br /> <br />1. Fairview Street <br /> <br />B~istol Street (to complete right <br />of way) <br />Newport Freeway to Redhill Avenue <br />Orange Avenue to East City Limits <br />2,000 feet north of Seventeenth <br />Street to Santa Clara Avenue $3,000 <br />Fairview Street to 480 feet west <br />of Bristol Street (Construction) $135,000 <br />McFadden Avenue to Chestnut Avenue $32,000 <br />Edinger Avenue to McFadden Avenue $16,000 <br />Huntzinger Avenue to Talbert Avenue $37,000 <br />Alton Avenue to Segerstrom Avenue $59,000 <br /> <br />$150,000 <br /> $55,000 <br /> $3~,000 <br /> <br />TOTAL $684,000 <br /> <br />Said improvements are to be in accordance with the attached project statements. <br /> BE IT I~JRTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br /> <br />Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of rights of <br /> <br />way, in the manner provided, is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> <br />
