152 <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 612. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING AND REGULATING THE HOLDING OF PUBLIC <br />MEETINGS IN THE PUBLIC PARES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND FIXING <br />A PENALTY OR PENALTIES FOR THE ENFORCEMENT THEREO~ AND REPEALING <br />OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, do ordain as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, organiza- <br />tion or association of persons to hold or undertake to hold any <br />political meeting within any of the public parks of the City of <br />Santa Aha, California, on the first day of the week generally <br />known as Sunday. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, organization <br />or association of persons to hold or undertake to hold or take <br />part in any public meeting in. any of the public parks of the City <br />of Santa Ana without the said person or persons, organization or <br />association of persons holding or attempting to hold said public <br />meeting shall first have obtained permission of the Boand of Park <br />Commissioners of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Any person or persons violating any of the pro- <br />visions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor <br />and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in a sum not to exceed <br />One Hundred ($100) Dollars, or be imprisoned in the City Jail for <br />a period of time not to exceed fifty (50) days, or both said fine <br />and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court. <br /> <br /> Section 4. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict <br />with this Ordinance or any part thereof s,re hereby to that extent <br /> <br />repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 5. <br /> <br />published once in the "Evening Blade" a newspaper <br />culation within the City of Santa Ana, Oalifornia, <br />after the same shall be in full force and effect. <br /> <br />The City Clerk shall cause this Ordinance to be <br /> of general oir- <br /> and ten daysShere- <br /> <br /> The above Ordinance was passed and adopted by the Board of <br />Trustees of the City o£ Santa Ana, on the Sth day of May, 1916, by <br />the following vote to-wit: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees Tubbs, McPhee, 'Greenleaf and Visel. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None. Absent Trustee Maryatt. <br /> <br />A.J.
