RESOLUTION 65-22 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF <br />THREE PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY ON THE NORTH <br />SIDE OF SIXTH STREET BETWEEN FLOWER AND <br />SHELTON STREETS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because of the rapid population growth in the entire <br />area of Orange County and in the City of Santa Ana, California, <br />there is an immediate and present need to acquire land for expansion <br />of the area known as the Civic Center for the location of public <br />buildings, structures and related utilities. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that public interest <br />and necessity require the acquisition of a fee simple estate in and <br />to certain real property for Civic Center purposes and further <br />require that the City of San~a Ana have and acquire that certain <br />real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br />California, described as: <br /> <br />PARCEL A: <br /> <br />T'ne East 27 feet of Lot 10 and the West 14 feet of Lot 9 <br />of Gil~uacher's Addition to the Town of Santa Ana, City <br />of Santa Ana, as sho~ on a map thereof recorded in <br />Book 23, Page 37 of ~iscellaneous Records of Los Angeles <br />County, California. <br /> <br />NOTE: <br /> <br />Said land is described on the County Tax Assessment <br />Roll for the fiscal year 1963-64 as A.P. No. 8-020-6, <br />CA 11-03. <br /> <br />PARCEL B: <br /> <br />Lot 11 and that portion of Lot 10 in Block B of Grouard's <br />Addition to the Town of Santa Aha, in the City of Santa <br />Ana, as per map recorded in Book 23, Page 38, Miscel- <br />laneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder of <br />Los Angeles County, California, and that portion of the <br />Julian Chavez Allotment, in the City of Santa Ana, <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 11 in Block B <br />of Grouard's Addition; thence Nortn 159 feet; thence East <br />50 feet; thence South 159 feet and thence West 50 feet to <br />the point of beginning. <br /> <br />PARCEL C: (1) <br /> <br />Lot 7 and the West 3.85 feet of Lot 6 in Block B of <br />Grouards Addition to the Town of Santa Aha, as per <br />map recorded in Book 23, Page 38, ~iscellaneous <br />Records, in the office of the Countp Recorder of <br />Los Angeles County, California. <br /> <br />EXCEPT the West 3.08 feet of said Lot 7. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />That portion of the land allotted to Julian Chavez in <br />decree of partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa <br />Ana, recorded in Book "B" of Judgments of the 17th <br />Judicial District Court of California, in the City of <br />Santa Ana, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point on the North line of Block B of <br />Grouards Addition to the Town of Santa Ana, as per <br />map recorded in Book 23, Page 38, Miscellaneous Records, <br />in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles <br />County, California, West 45.38 feet from the Northwest <br />corner of Lot 5 in said Block B; 'thence North 34.00 <br />feet to a line parallel with and Northerly 34.00 feet <br />from said North line of Block B; thence West along <br />said parallel line to the Northerly prolongation of <br />the East line of the West 3.08 feet of Lot 7 in <br />Block "B"; thence Southerly 34.00 feet along said <br />northerly prolongation to the North line of said <br />Block B; thence Easterly along said North line to <br />'the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> <br />
