RESOLUTION 65-25 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR <br />ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SA~,~A ANA, <br />DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAI~i~ FOR SAID TERRITORY <br />OF "HARBOR AND WARNER WEST A~EX" Ai~D GIVING <br />NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the request of the property owners in the terri- <br />tory herein described, a description and a map of said territory <br />were presented to the Santa Ana Planning Commission, which approved <br />annexation of said territory, to the Orange County Boundary Commission, <br />which caused a report to be prepared finding that the boundaries of <br />said proposed annexation met with the approval of the Orange County <br />Surveyor's Office in respect to Government Code Section 35002, and to <br />the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County, which approved <br />the same. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of said <br />territory to the City of Santa Ana for the following reasons: <br /> <br />That said territory can best be served by the City <br />of Santa Ana with municipal services of the highest <br />quality anywhere obtainable at a cost for such <br />services which is lower than can be obtained anywhere <br />else in the County of Orange. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />That it is to the mutual advantage of the City and <br />the landowners that said territory become a part of <br />said City. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to annex all of the territory hereiD_below described <br />under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act <br />of 1939; hereby finds and declares that said territory is uninhabited <br />within the meaning of the Government Code Section 35303 on the date <br />of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is contiguous <br />to the City of Santa Aha, lies in the County of Orange, State of <br />California, and is described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of the City of <br />Santa Aha, California, said point being an angle point on <br />the boundary of Talbert and Harbor N.W. Annex, Ordinance <br />NS-328, said point being North 1° 19' 45" West 330.00 feet <br />from the intersection of the East line of Harbor Boulevard, <br />which is parallel with and 40.00 feet East, measured at <br />right angles, from the center line of said Harbor Boulevard, <br />with the center line of Talbert Avenue, as said intersection <br />is shown on a map recorded in Book 40, page 49, Records of <br />Surveys in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange <br />County, California; and running thence South 88° 45' 15" <br />West along said City boundary 1360.00 feet more or less to <br />the West line of the Southeast one quarter (SE ¼) of the <br />Southeast one quarter (SE¼) of Section 2S, Township 5 South, <br />Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and to an <br />angle point in said City boundary; thence North 1° 19' 45" <br />West 990.00 feet along said City boundary to the Southwest <br />corner of the Northeast one quarter (NE %) of the Southeast <br />one quarter (SE %) of Section"28 and to an angle point on <br />said City boundary; thence West along said City boundary and <br />along the North line of the South one quarter (S %) of <br />Section 28 a distance of 960.00 feet more or less to the <br />Easterly right of way line of the Santa Ana River through <br />the Newbert Protection District and to an angle point in <br />said City boundary; thence departing from said City boundary <br />North 2Sv 19' 26" East along said Easterly right of way line <br />1510.00 feet, more or less, to an angle point; thence North <br />28° 20' 49" East along said Easterly right of way line <br />2270.00 feet more or less to the beginning of a tangent <br />curve concave Northwesterly, having a radius of 23,093.33 feet; <br /> <br /> <br />
