RESOLUTION 65-25 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SA~,~A ANA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAI~i~ FOR SAID TERRITORY OF "HARBOR AND WARNER WEST A~EX" Ai~D GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING THEREON WHEREAS, at the request of the property owners in the terri- tory herein described, a description and a map of said territory were presented to the Santa Ana Planning Commission, which approved annexation of said territory, to the Orange County Boundary Commission, which caused a report to be prepared finding that the boundaries of said proposed annexation met with the approval of the Orange County Surveyor's Office in respect to Government Code Section 35002, and to the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County, which approved the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana for the following reasons: That said territory can best be served by the City of Santa Ana with municipal services of the highest quality anywhere obtainable at a cost for such services which is lower than can be obtained anywhere else in the County of Orange. e That it is to the mutual advantage of the City and the landowners that said territory become a part of said City. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to annex all of the territory hereiD_below described under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939; hereby finds and declares that said territory is uninhabited within the meaning of the Government Code Section 35303 on the date of the adoption of this Resolution; that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Beginning at an angle point in the boundary of the City of Santa Aha, California, said point being an angle point on the boundary of Talbert and Harbor N.W. Annex, Ordinance NS-328, said point being North 1° 19' 45" West 330.00 feet from the intersection of the East line of Harbor Boulevard, which is parallel with and 40.00 feet East, measured at right angles, from the center line of said Harbor Boulevard, with the center line of Talbert Avenue, as said intersection is shown on a map recorded in Book 40, page 49, Records of Surveys in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California; and running thence South 88° 45' 15" West along said City boundary 1360.00 feet more or less to the West line of the Southeast one quarter (SE ¼) of the Southeast one quarter (SE¼) of Section 2S, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and to an angle point in said City boundary; thence North 1° 19' 45" West 990.00 feet along said City boundary to the Southwest corner of the Northeast one quarter (NE %) of the Southeast one quarter (SE %) of Section"28 and to an angle point on said City boundary; thence West along said City boundary and along the North line of the South one quarter (S %) of Section 28 a distance of 960.00 feet more or less to the Easterly right of way line of the Santa Ana River through the Newbert Protection District and to an angle point in said City boundary; thence departing from said City boundary North 2Sv 19' 26" East along said Easterly right of way line 1510.00 feet, more or less, to an angle point; thence North 28° 20' 49" East along said Easterly right of way line 2270.00 feet more or less to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly, having a radius of 23,093.33 feet;
