RESOLUTION 65-37 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING <br />INTE~ION TO VACATE A NARROW STRIP ON THE SOUTH <br />SIDE OF SEGERSTROM AVENUE, RUNNING WESTERLY FROM <br />BRISTOL STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has joined with the <br />owners in requesting the vacation of a strip of land on the south <br />side of Segerstrom Avenue running west from Bristol Street, with <br />an average width of 4 feet, and the Planning Commission has <br />unanimously recommended such action to the City Council. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br />adopts the map attached hereto, orders the same to be filed with the <br />original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council, <br />and reference is hereby made to said map for details as to the <br />exterior boundaries of the portion of Segerstrom Avenue proposed to <br />be vacated. <br /> <br /> The City Council declares its intention to proceed with this <br />vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 <br />(§98300 through 8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) <br />to vacate that certain portion of Segerstrom Avenue in the City of <br />Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />That portion of the East half of Section 26, Township 5 <br />South, Range 10 West in the land allotted to James l~cFadden <br />in Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, <br />recorded in Book "B" of Judgments of the 17th Judicial <br />District Court of Los Angeles County, in the City of Santa <br />Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Beginning on the south line of Segerstrom Avenue, 84 feet <br />wide, north 8S° 53' 41" east 30.00 feet from the east line <br />of Lot 7 of the Williams Tract, as shown on a map filed in <br />Book 45, Page 17, Record of Surveys, Records of Orange <br />County; thence north 88° 53' 41" east 1580.54 feet along <br />said south line to the beginning of a tangent curve concave <br />southwesterly and having a radius of 25.00 feet, as shown on <br />said Record of Surveys; thence southeasterly 39.~2 feet along <br />said curve through a central angle of 91© 15' 47" to a point <br />of tangency with the west line of Bristol Street, 90 feet <br />wide, as shown on said Record of Surveys; thence north <br />00° 09' 2~" east 4.00 feet along said west line to the begin- <br />ning of a tangent curve concave southwesterly and having a <br />radius of 25.00 feet; thence northwesterly 39.32 feet along <br />said curve through a central angle of 91° 15' 47" to a point <br />in a line parallel with and distant northerly 4.00 feet, <br />measured at right angles from said south line of Segerstrom <br />Avenue; thence tangent to said curve along said parallel <br />line south 88° 53' 41" west 13~30.~2 feet; thence south <br />88° 19' 18" west 200.24 feet; thence south 01° 03' 09" east <br />2.00 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That March 15, 19~5, at the hour of <br />7:30 P.i4. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, '±~ird and Main Streets, <br />Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for <br />hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed <br />street vacation. <br /> <br /> The Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this <br />Resolution once in The Register and the Director of Public Works <br />is ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously along <br />the line of said street, stating the passage of this Resolution of <br />Intention to Vacate and the time and place of hearing thereon, said <br />notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least <br />3 such notices shall be posted. Both publication and posting shall <br />be completed at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />
