284 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 651. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance of the city of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of the fifth class, <br />incorporated under the laws of the State of C~lifornia, ordering the submiesion to the <br />qualified voters of the city of Santa Aha several propositions of incurring a bonded indebt- <br />edness for the object and purpose of the acquisition and construction of certain municipal <br />improvements and also the completion of certain other municipal improvements in the city of <br />Santa Ana, as set forth in Resolution No. 65? of said city; and <br /> <br /> Calling a special election for that purpose, reciting the objects and purposes for <br />which the indebtedness ~ proposed to be incurred, the separately estimated cost of the <br />proposed several public improvements, and the amount of the principal of the indebtedness <br />to be incurred for each thereof, and the rate of interest to be paid on said indebtedness, <br />fixing the date on which such special election will be held, the manner of holding such <br />election, and the voting for or against the incurring of such indebtedness, an~ providing <br />that in all particulars not recited in this Ordinance such special election shall be held <br />as provided by law for holding municipal elections in the city of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> Whereas, on the 1st day of June, 1920, at a meeting of the legislative branch of <br /> <br />the city of Santa Aha, to-wit: the Board of Trustees of said City, by a vote of more than <br />two-thirds of all the members of the said Board of Trustees, there was passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 65? of said city, determining and declaring that the puOlic interest and also <br />the public necessity demands the acquisition and construction of certain municipal improvements <br />and also the completion of certain other municipal improvements in the city of Santa Aha, as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />(o) <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />(h) <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />(j) <br /> <br />The completion and improvement of the municipal water works of the city <br />of Santa Ans. <br /> <br />The acquisition and construction in the city of Santa Ana of a building <br />for municipal uses and purposes thereof, as a Fire Hall, and the com- <br />pletion of the fire apparatus of the city of Santa Ans. <br /> <br />The completion and improvement of the general sewer system of the oi~ <br />of Santa An~. <br /> <br />The completion ~nd improvement of the City Hall of the city of Santa Ana, <br />a building therein constructed for municipal uses and purposes. <br /> <br />The acquisition of certain property for municipal uses and purposes of <br />street work, and to be used in the improvement an5 repair of the public <br />streets of the city of Santa Ans. <br /> <br />The construction of cement pavement and a wearing surface upon a portion <br />of North Main Street, a public street in the city of Santa Ans. <br /> <br />The construction of cement pavement and a wearing surface upon a portion <br />of East First Street, a public street in the city of Santa Ans. <br /> <br />The construction of cement pavement and a wearing surface upon a portion <br />of Bristol Street, a public street in the city o£ Santa Ans. <br /> <br />The construction of cement pavement and wearing surface upon those <br />portions of certain public streets in the city of Santa Ana, not already <br />paved with cement pavement and wearing surface which abut upon, and inso- <br />far as t~ey do abut upon, the school grounds of certain public schools <br />in the city of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />The construction of concrete and steel constructed culverts under and <br />across Second, Third, and Fourth Streets, public streets in the city of <br />Santa Ans. <br /> <br />The said municipal improvements, and each of them, being necessary and convenient to <br /> <br />carry out the objects, purposes and powers of the city of Santa Ana; the cost of which <br /> <br />municipal improvements, and of each of them, will be too great to be paid out of the or- <br /> <br />dinary annual income and revenue of the city of Santa Aha. <br /> <br />Now therefor, at this, an adjourned regular and subsequent meeting of the said <br /> <br />Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Aha, after the passage and adoption of the said <br /> <br />Resolution No. 657, the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana do ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. It having been determined and deOlared by Resolution No. 657 of the <br /> <br />city of Santa Ana, passed and adopted by the vote of two-thirds and more of all the members <br /> <br />of the Board of Trustees of said city as the legislative branch thereof, that the public in- <br /> <br />terest and also thepublio necessity demands the completion and improvement of the municipal <br /> <br /> <br />
