297 <br /> <br />Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Fifth Street <br />aud Broadway, thence North on the center line of Broadway to its <br />intersection by the center line of Seventeenth Street; thence East <br />on the corner line of Seventeenth Street to its intersection by the <br />center line of Main Street; thence North on the center line of Main <br />Street to itc intersection by the northerly exterior boundary of the <br />city of Santa Aha; thence westerly and eoutharly along and pursuing <br />the northerly and westerly exterior boundaries of the city of Santa <br /> Ana to its intersection by the center line o£ Fifth Street, thence <br />east on the center line of Fifth Street to its intersection by the <br />center line of Broadway, the point of beginning; <br /> <br /> The said Special Election Precinct No. 6 being composed of <br />election precincts of the city of Santa Ana, now existing numbered <br />t9-2G-21-22-24-25, and which are hereby consolidated for the pur- <br />pose of smd special election. <br /> <br />The special election shall be held at end in said Special Election Precinct No. 6 <br /> <br />at the Jefferson School Building, located on the south side of Seventeenth Street, be- <br /> <br />tween Ross and Durant Streets, and which Jefferson School Building is hereby designated <br />as the polling place for said Special Election Precinct No. 6 . <br /> <br /> A Boated of 'Elsctionis hereby appointed in and for Special Election Precinct No. <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />to consist of one inpector, two judges, and three clerks, each of whom is an actual <br /> <br />resident of Special Election Precinct No. 6 and a registered qualified elector of one of <br /> <br />the precincts of which Special <br /> Inspector <br /> Judge <br /> Judge <br /> Clerk <br /> Clerk <br /> Clerk <br /> <br />Election Precinct No. 6 ie composed, <br /> William R. Sylvester, <br /> Fred H. Townar, <br /> Henry D. ~eyar <br /> W. B. Blackman <br /> Elmer L. Prince <br /> W. L. Tubbe <br /> <br />named as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 45. The Board of Election hereinbefore appointed shall in the Special <br />Election Precinct for which they are appointed hold, conduct, and mak~ returns of said <br />special election, and each member of the Boards of Election hereinbefore appointed shall, <br />upon presentation of proper demand against the city of Santa Ana, receive as compensation <br />for his or her services as an election officer the sum of $6.00. <br /> <br /> Section 46. The polls at the polling places hereinbefore designated and es- <br />tablished in said Special Election Precincts Nos. 1-2-3-4-5-6 must be opened at six o'clock <br />A. M. of the day of election and must be kept open until seven o'clock P. M. of the same <br />day, when the polls shall be closed, except as provided for in Sec. 1164 of the Po]iclcal <br />Code of the State of California. <br /> <br /> Segtion 47. In all particulars not recited in this Ordinance said special election <br />shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections in the city <br />of Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> Section 4g. Any qualified voter may at said special election vote in favor of any <br />proposition submitted by stamping a cross (X) on his or her ballot in the voting square <br />at the right of the word "YES", following the propositi~ voted upon; and any ~ualified <br />voter may at said special election vote against any proposition submitted by stamping a <br />cross (X) on his or her ballot in the voting square at the right of the word "NO" following <br />~he proposition voted upon. <br /> <br /> Section 4~. If any voter at said special election shall have stamped a cross <br />voting square at the right of the word "YES" following any proposition voted u~on his or <br />her ballot shall be counted in favor of the issuance of the ~onds mentioned in that prop- <br />osition, aud if he or she shall have stamped a cross (~) in the voting square at the right <br />of the word "NO" following any proposition voted upon his or her ballot shall be counted <br />against the issuance of the bonds mentioned in that proposition. <br /> <br /> Section ~0.
