ORDINANCE NO. 653 <br /> <br />An Ordinance concerning the opening and extending of <br />an alley from Broadway to Birch between 3rd and ~th <br />Streets, was never passed; settlement for the alley <br />being made according to agreement reached October <br />18th, 1920. Record Book No. ~6, Pages <br /> <br />ORDYNANCE NO. 654. <br /> <br />An Ordinance of the city of Santa Aha declaring that <br />the publi~ interest and convenience requires, and <br />that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of <br />said City, to order an improvement made therein, de- <br />scribing the improvement, the land necessary to be <br />taken therefor, specifying the boundaries of the dis- <br />trict to be benefited by said imTrovement and to be <br />assessed to pay the expenses thereof, and to be known <br />as the Assessment District, and directing the giving <br />of notice. <br /> <br />The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, <br /> <br />do ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />It is determined and declared that the public <br /> <br />interest and also the public convenience requires, and <br /> <br />that it is the intention of the Bbard of Trustees of the <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana to order an improvement made in said <br /> <br />City, which improvement is described as: follows: <br /> <br /> That Cubbon Street, a public street within the <br />City of Santa Aha, be extended easterly from the easter- <br />ly line of South ~ain Street, also a public street in <br />said city, in a straight line to the westerly line of <br />the right-of-way ~ the Pacific Electric Railway ~ompany, <br />said extended portion of Cubbon Street to be~sixty feet <br />in width and opened to public use. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />It is necessary to take land for the described im- <br /> <br />provement and that it is theintention of the Board of <br /> <br />Trustees of the City of Santa Ana to acquire by condem- <br /> <br />nation the land necessary for that purpose, and the land <br /> <br />meoessary to Oe taken therefor is described as follows: <br /> <br /> Located in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, <br />State of California, Oeing the land situated and existing <br />within the following exterior Doundaries: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the East line of South <br />Main Street of the city of sabra Ana, said point being <br />93.77 feet southerly of Northwest corner of Lot 4, Record <br />of Survey of part of Lots 3 a~.d 5, ~cFadden-Wilson Tract, <br />as per map thereof filed Record Survey Book l, page 54, <br />records of Orange County, California, said point also <br />being 8~0.74 feet Northerly and 37 feet Easterly from the <br />point marked 2 x 2 stake at the intersection of ~ain <br />Street and NcFadden Street on said map of Record of Sur- <br />vey; <br /> <br /> Running thence Easterly parallel to the North line <br />of said Lot 4 and its easterly extension 1260.2 feet <br />more or less, to a point in the West right-of-way line <br />of the Pacific Electric Railway's forty foot right-of-way; <br />said point being 121.90 feet South of.the intersection <br />of said West right-of-way line with the Worth line of Lot <br />4, Nc?adden-Wilson Tract as per mar thereof recorded in <br />Book 21, page 91,1Niscellaneous Records of Los Angeles <br /> <br /> <br />
