310 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 6~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, 9~GULATINO THE <br />LICENSE OF ADVERTISERS AND FIYING A ~NA~mTY FOR T~_E VI©LATI~N OF SAID <br />ORDINAWCE. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, California, <br /> <br />do ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or cor- <br />poration, either by themselves, agents, or emoloyees, to advertise <br />before any public gathering, within the corporate limits of the City <br />o'f Santa Aha, California by lecture, outcry, exhibition, or enter- <br />tainmen% in any manner, the use or merits of any madioine, calculated <br />to cure or benefit a_ny person whatsoever or their ability to cure <br />by the use of medicine, without first having obtained a license from <br />said City to so advertisa, <br /> <br /> Section 2. The license fee for such a~vertising shall be <br /> <br />the susa of $50.00 per ~ay. <br /> <br /> 3. Any person, violating any of the provisic~s of <br /> Section <br /> <br />this Ordinance as principle, agent or employee, shall be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in a sum not to exceed <br />$100. for each offense or imprisoned in the City Jail for not to ex-' <br />ceed fifty days or both said fine and imprisonment in the discretion <br /> <br />of the court. <br /> <br /> Section 4. The <br />this Ordinance and cause <br /> <br />City Clerk shall certify to the passage of <br />the same to be nrlnted and published three <br /> <br />times in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a newspaper of gen- <br />eral circulation in the City of Santa Ana, California, the thirty <br />days thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. <br /> <br /> The above Ondinance was passed and adopted by the Board of <br />Trustees of the City of Santa Ana this gth day of November, 1920 Oy <br />the following vote, to-wit: AYES: Trustees Chapman, Dal~ and Mitchell <br />NOES: TrusteeGreenleaf.
