<br /> For the purpose of this ordinance a dance hall is defined to be any place where the
<br />business of holding or conducting public dances ia regularly carried on, provided that noth-
<br />ing in this section contained shall ce deemed or construed to ~equire the holder of a to con-
<br />duct the business of a public dance hall,' to procure any additional license to conduct a dan-
<br />oing academy, in the event that such dancing academy is conducted at the same location and
<br />under the same managemenZ as said public dm ce hall.

<br /> Section 54. For every person, firm or corporation, conducting, managing or carrying on
<br />a dancing club, for which an admission or fee is charged, $5.00 per month.
<br />
<br /> Section ~. For every person, firm or corporation, conducting, managing, or carrying
<br />on a public dance whether or not for profit, to which the public ie admitted either With or
<br />without charge, or at which the public is allowed to participate in the dancing, either
<br />with or without charge, $5.00 per month.
<br />
<br /> Section ~6. For every person, firm or corporation, engaged in or carrying on the
<br />business of an employment bureau, $5.00 per quarter.
<br />
<br /> For the purpose of this ordinance the term "employment bureau" is defined as the
<br />business of securing employment £or any person or perseus £or a £ee or compensation of any
<br />kind, or furnishing information regarding situations or employment for a fee or compensation.
<br />
<br /> Section ~. For every person, firm or corporation, conducting, managing or carrying
<br />on any show, or exhibition not otherwise in this ordinance specifically provided for, where
<br />the maximum admission fee charged does not exceed 2~ cents, ~5.00 per day; where a maximum
<br />admission fee of more than 25 cents but not to exceed 50 cents is charged, $10.00 per day;
<br />where a maximum admission fee of more than 50 cents is charged $20.00 per day.

<br /> Nothing in this section contained shall be deemed or construed to authorize the hold-
<br />er of any license provided for in this section to conduct, maintain, or catty,on any other
<br />business in connection with such exhibition or show, without first obtaining a license so to
<br />do as in this ordinance provided in the event that a license to conduct, maintain, or carry
<br />on any such ~usiness is required under the provisions of thi~ ordinance.

<br /> ~ection ~g. For every person, firm or corporation conducting, managing or carrying on
<br />the business of making or remaking for sale or the fancy, sting or cleaning of feather pillows,
<br />feather beds, down pillows, quilts, quilted ~ed mattresses, mattress bed bunks or cushions,

<br /> Section 3~' For every person, firm or corporation, conducting ma~aging, or ca~rying
<br />on the business of a feed or livery stable, $3.00 per quarter.

<br /> Section 40. For every person, firm or corporation, conducting, managing, or
<br />on a fa=tis wheel, swing or similar device where a fee is charged or collected, for
<br />any person thereon, $3.00 per day.

<br />on a fire sale, bankrupt or wreck sale, $100.00 per month.

<br /> For the purposes of this ordinance a "£ire, bankrupt or wreck sale" is defined to be
<br />and include the sale of goods, wares, or merchandise sa]vaged from a fire, wreck or other
<br />Calamity, or a s@le of goods wares of merchandise advertised as a fire or bankrupt or
<br />wreck sale.

<br /> Providing that no license shall be required under the provisions of this section for
<br />sale of merchandise, salvaged from any fire, wreck or other calamity occ.omring in the City
<br />of Santa Ana.
<br />
<br /> Section 4~. For every person, firm or corporation, conducting, managing or carrying
<br />on the business of selling fresh fish, in the City of Santa Aua, $3.00 per quarter.

<br /> Section 44. For every person, firm or corporation, conducting, managing or carrying
<br />on the business of Selling fruits or vegetables from a vehicle, other than ss a peddler, and
<br />having no fixed place of business, in the City of S~ta Aha, $5.00 per day for each such wehicle.
