RESOLUTION 65-71 DECLARIi,IG THE ANNEXATION OF <br />TERRITORY DESIGb~TED "GRAND AVENUE AiQD SANTA <br />CLARA AVENUE NORTHWEST ANNEX" TO 'IX4E CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 5, 1965, the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uniz~abited territory by <br />Resolution 65-49, which said Resolution found and declared that said <br />annexation proceeding was initiated by a petition therefor signed by <br />the owners of all of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed, <br />and which said Resolution was published in accordance with the re- <br />quirements of Government Code §35310.1 setting the protest hearing <br />for May 3, 1965, a date upon which a regular meeting of the City <br />Council was scheduled. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said City Council hereby <br />finds and declares that no protest was received from any owner of <br />property within the City~ that said territory was uninhabited on <br />April 5, 1965, and was contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all <br />of the statements hereinabove and in Resolution 65-49 are true and <br />correct, and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any <br />indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the <br />County of Orange, State of California, and described as: <br /> <br />Beginning at the intersection of the East line of that certain <br />80.00 foot wide strip of land acquired by the State of California <br />by final order of condemnation recorded November 7, 1935, in <br />Book 785, Page 382, of Official Records of Orange County, <br />California,said 80.00 foot strip being Glassell Street, with a <br />line which is parallel with and 801.90 feet North, measured at <br />right angles, from the center line of Santa Clara Avenue, said <br />intersection being an angle point on the City boundary of the <br />City of Santa Ana as annexed by the Grand Avenue West and Santa <br />Clara Northeast Annex, NS 524, thence South 12° 45' 44" East <br />along said City boundary 345.00 feet, more or less, tot he <br />beginning of a tangent curve concave Westerly, having a radius <br />of 2040.00 feet, thence Southeasterly along said City boundary <br />and along the arc of said curve through a central angle of <br />12° 35' 29" an arc distance of 448.30 feet to a tangent line; <br />thence South 0° 10' 15" East along said City boundary 18.53 feet <br />to the intersection of.the center line of Santa Clara Avenue <br />with the said East line of an 80.00 foot strip, said intersection <br />being a point on the City boundary of the City of Santa Aha, as <br />annexed by Ordinance Number 73, thence West 592.20 feet, more or <br />less, along the center line of Santa Clara Avenue and along said <br />City boundary as annexed by Ordinance 73 to the intersection of <br />said center line with the East line of an annexation to the City <br />of Santa Ana as established by the Santa Clara and Lincoln <br />Northeast Annex, NS 542, said intersection being the Southeast <br />corner of Tract Number 4531, as shown on a map thereof recorded <br />in Book 161, pages 20 and 21, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of <br />Orange County, California; thence North 801.90 feet along said <br />City boundary and along the East line of said Tract Number 4531 <br />to an angle point in said City boundary, as established by the <br />Santa Clara and Lincoln Northeast Annex, NS 542, and to the <br />Northeast corner of Tract Number 4531; thence departing from said <br />City boundary East 467.00 feet, more or less, to the point of <br />beginning, <br /> <br />be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to <br />Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Resolution <br />effected and declared. For t'he purpose of tax segregation of this <br />annexation, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City--1957 <br />and 1958 Annexes". <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
