the grades upon West Walnut Street, North Patton Street, and North Van Ness Avenue, are based upon a datum plane adopted and established by Ordinance No. $71 of the city of Santa Ana, which datum plane is 124.288 feet below the center line of e bench mark consisting of a copper ~l~te fixed and lo- cated in the Northwest corner of the City Hall of Santa Aha and marked "U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey B.N." All of said elevations are expressed in feet and hundredths of feet and are above said datum plane. ~ection 3. At all points on each street existing between the consecutive designated points where the elevations are stated and given, the grade on that street shall conform to a true and uniform gradient along the center line of the street, between designmted points. All distances on each street between said designated points at which the elevations are stated and given are to be measured along the center line of that street Nnless other- wise specifically herein provided. Section 4. 21~ts Ordinance shall be published three times in Santa Ana Daily Evenin~ Register, a daily newspaper print- ed, published and circulated in the city of Santa Ana, and shall take effect and be in for~e thirty days after its passage. The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 700 was regularly introduced before the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of November, 19B~, and passed and adopted by the said Board of Trustees at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the ~Tth day of November, 1922, by the affirmative vote of the following named members thereof: Ayes: Trustees ~C.H.Chapman, H.H.Dale, W.A.Greenleaf, Johh G. ~itchell.
