Ordinance, prerare and propose a charter for the <br />government of the City of Santa Ans, unless said <br />period of one hundred twenty (120) days is, with the <br />consent of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa <br />Aha, as the legislative body thereof, extended, pro- <br />vided that no extension shall exceed a total of sixty <br />(60) days. ~ <br /> The Board of Freeholders selected at said special <br /> <br />election shall proceed as provided for, and at all times <br />be governed by, Section 8 of Article XI. of the Consti- <br />tution of the State of California. -~ <br /> Section 6. ] <br /> The said special election being one of the elections <br /> provided for by Sec. 1044 of tt~e Political Code of the <br /> State of C~ifornia, the same shall be held as provided <br /> <br />by said Section. <br /> Section V. <br /> <br /> For the purpose of holding said special election, <br /> <br />the City of Santa ~na is he~eby snbdivided into ten <br />special election precincts, and for that purpose the <br />election precincts of~and~in the City of Santa ~na, now <br />existing, are hereby consolidated into ten special election <br />precincts, provided, that not exceeding six of said exist- <br />ing precincts are or shall be consolidated into one I <br />special election precinct.
