AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA AN~., CALIFORNIA~ AM~ND- lNG PARAGRAPH THREE OF SECTION 87 OF ORDINANCE NO. 342 PERTAINING TO INSTALLATION OF FIRE EXTINGUISHERS IN HOTELS, INNS, OR LODGING HOUSES. The Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Aha, California, do Ordain as follows: Section 1. qT~t Paragraph Three of Section 87 of Ordinance No. 342, passed and approved by the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana, California, on the 21st day of July, 1903, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to maintain any hotel, inn, or lodging house containing ten or more guest rooms, and not provided with hydrant and fire hose as provided in the preceding paragraph of this Section of the above Ordinance, shall at all times keep, place and maintain convenient and accessible and in proper condition for immediate use, subject at all times to the app,-oval of the Chief of the Fire Department or his assistant, one or more chemical fire extinguishers of two and one-half gallon tank type and of standard ~ake. Section 3. The number of said fire extinguishers herein provided for shall be in proportion' to the number of guest' rooms of the aforesaid hotel,' lodging house or inn, as follows: one fire extinguisher for each ten guest rooms or more up to the number of fifteen, which number shall require two fire extinguishers and one fire extin~ guisher for each ten additional rooms thereafter.
