RESOLUTION 65-85 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A <br />QUITCLAIM DEED TO JULIA M. STILLINGS IN <br />CONSIDERATION OF $1,500.00 AND A GRANT DEED <br />TO TPLE CITY, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ESCROW <br />INSTRUCTIONS, AND ACCEPTING SAID DEED FROM <br />JULIA M. STILLINGS <br /> <br /> WHERF2%S, the City of Santa Aha is the owner of property at <br />the southeast corner of Eighth and Baker Streets, a portion of which <br />property is surplus and of no use except to the adjacent property <br />owner, JULIA M. STILLINGS; and an agreement has been reached with <br />JULIA M. STILLINGS whereby the City will quitclaim to her said surplus <br />real property in consideration of her deed dated May 12, 1965, which <br />has been delivered to the City for acceptance, conveying to the City <br />a 30-foot strip of land on the south side of Eighth Street, east of <br />Baker Street, which is necessary for~e widening of Eighth Street, <br />and a further consideration of $1,500.00. Said transaction is to be <br />handled through Escrow No. 52781-C with Security Title Insurance <br />Company, Santa Aha, California. It is further agreed that the house <br />located in part on the property being conveyed to the City is to be <br />removed from said property not later than June 30, 1965. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORe, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk <br />of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed <br />quitclaiming to JULIA M. STILLINGS the following described real <br />property: <br /> <br />That portion of the Southwest quarter of Section 12, Township 5 <br />South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the <br />City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a stone marking the intersection of the center line <br />of West Eighth Street with the center line of North Baker Street, <br />and running thence Easterly along said center line of West Eighth <br />Street, 85.37 feet; thence Southerly parallel with the center line <br />of Baker Street, 55.00 feet to a line parallel with and distant <br />Southerly 55.00 feet, measured at right angles, from said center <br />line of West Eighth Street; thence continuing Southerly along said <br />first mentioned parallel line to a point distant Southerly along <br />said parallel line, a distance of 142.50 feet from said center <br />line of West Eighth Street; thence Westerly parallel with said <br />last mentioned center line 55.37 feet to a line parallel with and <br />distant Easterly 30.00 feet, measured at right angles, from said <br />center line of North Baker Street; thence Northerly along said last <br />mentionedparallel line to the beginning of a tangent curve concave <br />Southeasterly having a radius of 25.00 feet, said curve also being <br />tangent at its Easterly terminus with said parallel line distant <br />Southerly 55.00 feet from said center line of West Eighth Street; <br />thence Northerly, Northeasterly and Easterly along said tangent <br />curve to said parallel line; thence Easterly along said parallel <br />line to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />and deliver the same into said Escrow No. 52781-C. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby authorized <br />to sign the escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Ana accepts <br />said grant deed executed by JULIA M. STILLINGS, and CARL J.
