RESOLUTION 65-104 GRANTING APPROVAL FOR THE <br />DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN CITY RECORDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Council has custody of certain <br />records, all of which were created prior to 1940, and has requested <br />permission to destroy the same; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Attorney has rendered his opinion that <br />there is no need for the retention of said records and has given <br />his written consent to the destruction thereof; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That those certain records <br />in the custody of the Clerk of the Council which were created prior <br />to 1940 and which are described as follows: <br /> <br />DEMANDS AND WARRANTS DRAWN (check registers) <br />REGISTER OF RECEIPTS AND DISBURSemENTS <br />TOWN ACCOUNTS <br />CITY ACCOUNTS <br />REGISTER OF LICENSES <br />BOND REGISTER <br />MARSHALL'S ACCOUNT <br />TREASURER'S ACCOUNTS <br /> <br />are hereby declared to be unnecessary for retention in the office <br />of the Clerk , and this City Council hereby gives its approval for <br />the destruction of said records. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said records shall be sur- <br />rendered by the Clerk of the Council to the curator of the Bowers <br />Museum for determination by him as to whether or not said records <br />may have historical source material value and should be retained <br />by said Museum, and he is authorized for and on behalf of the <br />Clerk of the Council to destroy any or all of said records which, <br />in his opinion, do not have such value. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of July, 1965. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
