300 <br /> <br />is now on file in the office of the Engineer of said city, <br />which map indicates by a boundary in Green Tint thereon, the <br />exterior boundaries of said Assessment District, and showing <br />the lands necessary to be taken in Pink Tint, and which map <br />shall govern for all details aw to the land to be taken and as <br />to the extent of the assessment district. <br /> <br /> Section 4. The Street Superintendent of the City of <br />Santa Aha shall cause to be conspicuously posted along all <br />streets and parts of streets and public places and rights-of- <br />way where any property which is to be taken for the opening <br />of said street at not more than three hundred (300) feet in <br />distance apart, but not less than three in all, notice of the <br />passage of said ordinance headed "NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK" the <br />heading to be in letters not less than one inch in length an~ <br />in legible ~haracters; said notice shall state the fact and <br />date of the passage of this Ordinance and briefly describe <br />the improvements prOposed, and refer to this Ordinance of In- <br />tention for a description of the Assessment District and for <br />further particulars. <br /> <br /> Section 5. The Street Superintendent shall also <br /> <br />cause a notice similar in substance to be published by two in- <br />sertions in the Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily news- <br />paper published and circulated in the City of Santa Aaa, which <br />paper is hereby designated as the paper to be used by the Street <br />Superintendent for that purpose. <br /> <br /> Section 6. The Clerk of the City of Smta Ana,shall <br />immediately upon the publication of said notice, mail postage <br />prepaid to each of the property owners in the Assessment Dis- <br />trict, at his last known address, as the same ap~ars upon <br />the tax rolls of the City of Santa Ana, and where no address <br />so appears, to the General Delivery at Santa Ana, Cal~ornla, <br />a postal card containing a notice which shall be in substan- <br />tially the following form: <br /> <br /> "You are hereby notified that on the 16th day of <br />March, 1925, the Legislative Body of the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, by virtue of the Street Opening Act of 1903, passed <br />an Ordinance of Intention No. 778, for the opening of Victoria <br />Drive, between Santa Clara Avenue and Nineteenth Street in <br />said City, <br /> Written protests ~ay be filed with the City Clerk <br />within thirty days after the 18th day of March, 19~5~ Your <br />property is in the district to be assessed for this improvement. <br /> <br /> E. L. Vegely <br /> City Clerk." <br /> <br /> Section 7. This Ordinance shall be signed by the <br />President of the Board of Trustees, attested by the Clerk of <br />the City of Santa Aha, and published three times in the Santa <br />Aha Daily Evening Register, a newspaPer.of general circula- <br />tion published in the said City, and thereupon take effect <br />and be in force. <br /> <br /> <br />
