RESOLUTION 65-114 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING
<br />INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF STP~EET RIGHT
<br />OF WAY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF EDINGER AVENUE,
<br />185 FEET WEST OF FLOWER STREET, RESERVING
<br />THEREIN A PUBLIC UTILITIES EASF24~NT, AND GIVING
<br />NOTICE OF HEARING THEREON
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has joined with the
<br />owners of adjacent property in requesting the vacation of certain
<br />street right of way on the south side of Edinger Avenue, 185 feet
<br />west of Flower Street, and the Planning Commission has unanimously
<br />recommended such action to the City Council.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
<br />hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the same filed
<br />with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk
<br />of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for the
<br />exterior boundaries of said right of way proposed to be vacated.
<br />
<br /> The City Council declares its intention to proceed with
<br />this vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of
<br />1941 (§8300 through §8374 of the California Streets and Highways
<br />Code) to vacate a portion of street right of way on the south side
<br />of Edinger Avenue, 185 feet west of Flower Street, and reserving
<br />therein an easement for utility structures of the Pacific Telephone
<br />Company and the Southern California Edison Company. Said right of
<br />way proposed to be vacated lies in the City of Santa Ana, County
<br />of Orange, State of California, and is described as:
<br />
<br />The Southerly 27.00 feet of the following described property:
<br />
<br />Beginning at a point on the munumented centerline of Edinger
<br />Avenue, South 89° 28' 50" West 185.00 feet from the intersection
<br />of said center line of Edinger Avenue with the center line of
<br />Flower Street, and running thence South 89~ 28' 50" West 55.86
<br />feet; thence South 0° 11' 30" East 40.00 feet; thence North
<br />89° 28' 50" East 55.94 feet; thence North 0° 18' 20" West 40.00
<br />feet to the point of beginning.
<br />
<br />RESERVING all vehicular access rights to Edinger Avenue from
<br />the lands lying South of the North line of the above described
<br />property, EXCEPTING the West 28.00 feet.
<br />
<br />ALSO RESERVING and EXCEPTING an easement and right of way to
<br />construct, lay, install, use, maintain, alter, add to, repair,
<br />replace, inspect, and/or remove, at any time and from time to
<br />time, aerial and underground electric lines and communication
<br />lines, consisting of poles, guys and markers and other fixtures
<br />and appliances, for conveying electric energy to be used for
<br />light, heat, power, telephone, and/or other related uses, in,
<br />on, over, under, and through that certain real property in the
<br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, de-
<br />scribed as follows:

<br />A strip of land, 10 feet in width, lying within the southeast
<br />quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 24, Township 5
<br />South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., the center line of said strip
<br />being described as follows:
<br />
<br />Commencing at the northeast corner of said southeast quarter of
<br />the northwest quarter of Section 24; thence along the easterly
<br />line of said southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of
<br />Section 24, southerly 42 feet; thence westerly parallel with the
<br />northerly line of said woutheast quarter of the northwest quarter
<br />of Section 24, a distance of 40 feet, to the TRUE POINT OF BEGIN-
<br />NING of this description; thence northwesterly to a point located
<br />185 feet westerly and 27 feet southerly, measured at right angles
<br />respectively from said easterly and northerly lines; thence
<br />westerly parallel with said northerly line a distance of 55.94
<br />feet.
