<br /> AN 0RDIN~JCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DECLARING THE INTENTION
<br /> OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF SAID CITY, TO WIDEN EAST FIRST STREET IN SAID
<br /> ~TY; DESCRIBING THE IMPROVEI~NT AND THE LAND NECESSARY AND CONVENIENT TO
<br /> BE TAKEN THEREFOR, AND IN GENERAL ~RMS DESCRIBING THE DISTRICT TO BE
<br /> BENEFITED BY SAID IMPROVEMENT, AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE EXPENSES
<br /> THEREOF; &ND TO BE KNOWN AS THE ASSESSMENT IESTRICT; REFERRING TO A M~P
<br /> APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES INDIC,~TING BY A BOUNDARY LINE THE
<br /> EXTENT OF THE TERRITORY TO BE INCLUDED IN SAID ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, SAID
<br /> MAP ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE ENGINEER OF SAID CITY; DIRECTING THE
<br />
<br /> POSTING, PUBLIC&TION AND MAILING OF NOTICES, AND DESIGNATING A NEWSPAPER
<br />'FOR SAID PUBLICATION.

<br />The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana do ordain as
<br />
<br />follows:
<br />
<br /> SECTION I. That the public interest and convenience require,
<br />and it is the intention of the Board of Tr6stees of said City of Santa
<br />
<br />Ana to order an improvement in said City, which improvement is described
<br />
<br />as follows:
<br />
<br /> (a) The widening of East First Street in. the City of Santa Ana
<br />from the East line of Main Street in said City to the West llne of the
<br />
<br />Southern Pacific Right of Way extending across said First Street.
<br />
<br />The use of the work "improvement" in this ordinance means and
<br />
<br />shall be held and construed to mean the widening of said street as here-
<br />
<br />inbefore set forth and described.
<br />
<br />SECTION II. It is necessary to take land in the widening of
<br />
<br />said Street, and the land necessary to be taken therefor is described 'as
<br />
<br />follows:

<br />Located in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of
<br />
<br />California, and more particularly described as follow~, to-wit:
<br />
<br /> The South five feet of lots 1 and 2 of Block 2 and lots 1 and
<br />2 of Block I of the Town ~f Santa Ana as per map thereof on file in
<br />Miscellaneous Records, Book 2, page 51, Records of Los Angeles County,
<br />California.
<br /> The South 5 feet of Lots l, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Block I and
<br />lots l, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Block 6 of Blee~s Addition aa per map thereof
<br />on file in Miscellaneous Records, Book 4, page 545, Records of Los
<br />Angeles County, California.
<br /> The No~th 5 feet of the South 35 feet o~ Lots 10, ll, 12, 13,
<br />14, 15, 16, and 17 of Jennings & Foster Addition as per map thereof on
<br />file in Miscellaneous Records, Book 12, page 75, records of Los Angeles
<br />County, California.
<br /> The South 5 feet of Lots l, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, l0 and ll of
<br />B~ock C, of the Noah Palmer Tract as per mad thereof on file in Miscella-
<br />neous Maps, Book 2, page ll, Records of Orange County, California.
<br /> The South 5 feet of Lots 9, 10, ll, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 of
<br />Block C of Hall's Addition, as per map thereof on file in Miscellaneous
<br />Records, Book ll, page 62, Records of Los Angeles Counts, California.
<br /> The South 5 feet of Lots l, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of
<br />B~ock 3 of Cook's Addition as per map thereof on file in Miscellaneous
<br />Records, Book 12, page 51, Records of Los Angeles County, C~ifornia.
<br /> A parcel of land described as follows: Beginning at the in-
<br />tersection of the West line of Evergreen Street with the North line of
<br />East First Street; thence West along the North llne of East First Street,
<br />123.4 feet; thence North parallel to Evergreen Street 5 feet; thence
<br />East parallel to East First Street 123.4 feet to the West line of Ever-
<br />green Street; thence South along the West line of Evergreen Street 5
<br />feet to the point of beginning.
<br />A parcel ~f land described as follows: Beginning at the
<br />intersection of the East line of Evergreen Street with the North line
