ORDNANCE NO. 848 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISH- ING SET-BACK LINES UPON NORTH BROADWAY, ON BOTH SIDES OF SAID STREETS FROM EIGHTH STREET TO SANTA CLARA AVENUE. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana do ordain as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires, and there is hereby established set-back lines upon the following street in the City of Santa Aha, Callfcrnia between which and the respective street lines of said street it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to erect any building, wall, fence or other structure, or place any structure thereon, to-wit: North Broadway, on both sides of said street, from Eighth Street to S~nta Clara Avenue, fifteen (15) feet out- side of the present East and West lines respectively of said street. Section 2. That the foregoing set-back lines are established after a Resolution of Intention w~s duly passed and adopted and a hearing held thereon, after notice by pub- licatiqn and posting in the manner prescribed by Ordinance No 813 of the City of Santa Aha, entitled, "An Ordinance Prescribing the ~ethod of Procedure for Establishing Set-Back Lines in the City of Santa Ana", and the City Council having heard and passed upon all protests or objections filed or made to the establishment of said set-back lines. Section 3. That the Building Inspector of the City of Santa Aha shall refuse to issue any permit for any buildin wall, fence or other structure proposed to be erected within the space between the present street lines of the above mentioned street and the set-back lines established by this Ordinance. Section 4. That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of thin ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the County Jail of th County of Orange, for a period of not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any portion of which any violatio of this Ordinance shall be permitted, continued or committed by such person, firm or corporation, and sh~ll be punishable therefor as provided by this Ordinance.
