ORDNANCE NO. 848 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISH- <br /> ING SET-BACK LINES UPON NORTH BROADWAY, ON BOTH <br /> SIDES OF SAID STREETS FROM EIGHTH STREET TO SANTA <br /> CLARA AVENUE. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana do ordain <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience <br />requires, and there is hereby established set-back lines <br />upon the following street in the City of Santa Aha, Callfcrnia <br />between which and the respective street lines of said street <br />it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to <br />erect any building, wall, fence or other structure, or place <br />any structure thereon, to-wit: <br /> <br /> North Broadway, on both sides of said street, from <br />Eighth Street to S~nta Clara Avenue, fifteen (15) feet out- <br />side of the present East and West lines respectively of said <br />street. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the foregoing set-back lines are <br />established after a Resolution of Intention w~s duly passed <br />and adopted and a hearing held thereon, after notice by pub- <br />licatiqn and posting in the manner prescribed by Ordinance No <br />813 of the City of Santa Aha, entitled, "An Ordinance <br />Prescribing the ~ethod of Procedure for Establishing Set-Back <br />Lines in the City of Santa Ana", and the City Council having <br />heard and passed upon all protests or objections filed or <br />made to the establishment of said set-back lines. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Building Inspector of the City <br />of Santa Aha shall refuse to issue any permit for any buildin <br />wall, fence or other structure proposed to be erected within <br />the space between the present street lines of the above <br />mentioned street and the set-back lines established by this <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That any person, firm or corporation <br />violating any of the provisions of thin ordinance shall be <br />deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof <br />shall be punished by a fine of not more than Five Hundred <br />Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the County Jail of th <br />County of Orange, for a period of not more than six months, <br />or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, <br />firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate <br />offense for each day during any portion of which any violatio <br />of this Ordinance shall be permitted, continued or committed <br />by such person, firm or corporation, and sh~ll be punishable <br />therefor as provided by this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to <br />the passage of this Ordinance and cause the same to be pub- <br /> <br /> <br />
