RESOLUTION 6~-137 DESIGNATING UNITED CALIFORNIA BANK AS '£n~ DEPOSITOK~ FOR CIT~ OF SANTA ANA FUNDS .:.'~'~CTIVE JANUAiTf 1, 1966, AND DESIGNATING SIGNATURES AUTHORI~.wn FOR 'fh~ PURPOSE OF WITH- DRAWAL OF SA~) FUNDS W~EREAS, heretofore the City Council of the City of Santa Aha has declared a policy of designating a bank in the City to handle the demand deposits of City funds and, confor~4n~ to said expressed policy~ now declares a new period to begin January 1, 1966. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE~OLVED: That the United California Bauk, 1018 North Main Street, located in Santa A~a, California, is hereby designated as the banking institution to receive and hamdle deposits of Santa Ama City funds and trust funds in the contro~ of said City beginning January l, 1966, and continuing for a term of two years unless sooner terminated. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Director of Finance of said City is hereby authorized for and on behalf of said City, and as its officer and agent, to sign City of Santa Aha checks for the withdrawal of said funds so deposited both by facstm~ le signature machine-imprinted upon City checks amd by his manually affixed signature. BE IT FURTHER RE~0LV~D: That the Deputy City Treasurer is hereby authorized for and on behalf of said City, and as an agent of said City, to sign City of Santa Aha checks for the withdrawal of said funds so deposited by his mauually affixed signature. BE IT FURT~m~ RE~0LV~: That said Bank is hereby authorized and directed to pay out from said City funds to the payee designated on any City checks, signed in the mau~er and by persons hereinabove authorized, in the amount shown on the face of said check. BE IT MYRT~ RESOLVED: That because of physical absence, incapacity or death of said agents it may be necessary on a temporary basis to write emergency orders for the si~m.t-S of City checks, the City Manager is hereby authorized to designate in writimg an agent or agents who shall then be authorized to sign City checks for the payment or withdrawal of said funds. A~y such authorizatio~ shall set forth the necessity for the designation, the period of time dur~g which authorization shall continue, by giving the exact starting and terminating dates, and shall contain the certification of the Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Aha over the official City seal certifying that said authorizatlom is~ in fact, signed by the qualified and acting City ~amager, amd shall bear a specimen signature of the person designated as such temporary agent. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a certified copy of this Resolution, together with copies of the signatures of the two agents herein authorized to act in mauual form and a copy of the facsimile signature machime-imprint certified by the Clerk of the Ceuncil to be the signatures of said persons, and an imprint of the official facsimile signature plate, shall be delivered tO said bank before the first d~y of January, 1966. BE IT FURTHER RESOLV~: That the Clerk of the Council shall deliver to said Bank before the first day of January, 1966, her certificate as provided for in the paragraph next above. At a~y time either or both of said agents leave the employment of the City~ is absent therefrom or incapacitated for a period of time that will affect the making of City checks~ the Clerk of the Council shall notii~ said Bank of said fact and shall certify the names, titles and signatures of the person or persons then designated as agents of the City for the purpose of signing City checks in the mm~er hereinabove provided for and shall so notify said Bank of every termination of such authorization ~mmediately upon receiving such information, and such notification shall be her first duty and responsibility in event of termination of any such authorization of any such agent for the City.
