RESOLUTION 65-150 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION FOR <br />STREET PURPOSES FOR THE WIDENING AND IMPROVING <br />OF EIGHTH STREET AT BRISTOL STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the increasing volume of vehicular traffic in and <br />around the Civic Center area requires that Eighth Street be widened <br />and improved to afford ingress to and egress from said area on <br />Eighth Street across Bristol Street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Aha hereby finds and declares that the public interest <br />and necessity require the acquisition of rights of way for all the <br />purposes of a public street in,through, and over certain parcels of <br />real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of <br />California, described as: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 26, and the East 25.41 feet of Lot 27, <br />of Tract No. 662, in the City of Santa Aha, as shown on a <br />map thereof, recorded in Book 24, page 17, of Miscellaneous <br />Maps, records of Orange County, California, lying northerly <br />of a line which is parallel with and 40 feet southerly, <br />measured at right angles, from the following described new <br />center line of Eighth Street: <br /> <br />Commencing at the intersection of the survey center lines <br />of Eighth Street and Bristol Street, as shown on map of <br />said Tract No. 662; thence westerly along the survey <br />center line of Eighth Street a distance of 244.75 feet to <br />the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, and to a point on a tangent <br />curv~ concave southwesterly and having a radius of 1,000 <br />feet; thence southeasterly along said curv~ through a <br />central angle of 7° 01' 18" an arc distance of 122.55 feet <br />to a point of reverse curvature with.a curv~ concave <br />northeasterly, having a radius of 1,000 feet; thence <br />southeasterly along said curve, through a central angle of <br />7° 01' 18" an arc distance of 122.55 feet to a point on <br />the survey center line of Bristol Street which is 15 feet <br />southerly measured at right angles from said survey center <br />line of Eighth Street. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> <br />A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded on the North by <br />the South line of Parcel 1, bounded on the East by a line <br />parallel with and 50 feet Westerly, measured at right <br />angles, from the survey center line of Bristol Street as <br />shown on map of said Tract NO. 662, and bounded South- <br />westerly by the arc of a curve concave Southwesterly, <br />having a radius of 25 feet and tangent to said North and <br />East boundaries. <br /> <br />PARCEL 3: <br /> <br />A strip of land 25 feet in length, more or less, bounded <br />on the North by the South line of Parcel 1, bounded on the <br />West by the East line of Parcel 2, bounded on the East by <br />a line parallel with and 10 feet East, measured at right <br />angles, from the East line of Parcel 2, bounded Southerly <br />by the Easterly extension of the radial to the Southwesterly <br />boundary of Parcel 2 at its most Southerly point. <br /> <br />PARCEL 4: <br /> <br />A temporary easement for the complete removal of improve- <br />ments existing in whole or in part on Parcels 1, 2, and 3, <br />next hereinabove described, including any part of any suc~ <br />improvement existing on the real property retained by the <br />owners of said real property; said temporary easement to <br />allow said City of Santa Ana the right to enter in and upon <br />all portions of that property retained by said owners lying <br />southerly of said Parcels 1, 2, and 3, and said temporary <br />easement to terminate not later than 60 days after the City <br />of Santa Ana is granted possession of said Parcels 1, 2, <br />and 3 and this temporary easement. <br /> <br /> <br />
