RESOLUTION 65-154 EXPRESSING THE LOSS OF THE <br />SANTA ANA COMMUNITY AT THE DEATH OF WILLIAM <br />B. KOHL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after more than twenty-six years of service with <br />the United States Marine Corps WILLIAM B. KOHL came to Santa Aha, <br />California, and rapidly earned acceptance in the business community, <br />which was evidenced by the fact that he was made Assistant Manager <br />of the Santa Aha Chamber of Commerce, a position that he held until <br />his death on September 11, 1965; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in his work with the Chamber of Commerce he became <br />well known to and respected by the business, industrial, and <br />professional leaders of the City and rapidly developed an enlarging <br />circle of friends throughout the business community and among the <br />citizens of the City; his constant cheerfulness, willingness to take <br />on any assignment, and his genuine friendliness made him better <br />known than many of our longtime residents; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his death leaves a void incur City life and his <br />contribution during the past critical years to the orderly growth <br />and development of this City has been so great as to merit recog- <br />nition by the leaders of all elements of our community life. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana officially expresses the awareness of loss felt <br />by the entire community and expresses its sympathy to the family of <br />our late friend, WILLIAM B.
