RESOLUTION 65-165 ACCEPTING DEEDS WHERE THE
<br />CITY IS PAYING NO CASH CONSIDERATION
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, L. C. BARNES and JULIA MAE BARNES have delivered to
<br />the City a deed dated October 6, 1965, conveying an easement for
<br />street purposes at the southeast corner of Pine and Daisy Streets;
<br />and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, JACK TOSHIKI SAKIOKA and JOHN KATSUI SAKIOKA have
<br />delivered to the City a deed dated October 13, 1965, conveying an
<br />easement for street purposes at the northeast corner of Main Street
<br />and Talbert Avenue; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, VIRGINIE CALLENS, as to a life estate in an undivided
<br />one-half interest, and VIRGINIE CALLENS, also known as Virginia
<br />Callens, as her separate property, as to an undivided one-half
<br />interest, and MARY GISLER, as her separate property, as to an
<br />undivided one-half interest in the remainder, have delivered to the
<br />City a deed dated October 8, 1965, conveying easements for street
<br />purposes at the northwest corner of Sunflower and Bristol Streets
<br />in consideration of certain improvements to be done by the City at
<br />said location. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
<br />No. 870533-hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company,
<br />Santa Ana, California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, VIRGINIE CALLENS, as to a life estate in an undivided
<br />one-half interest, and VIRGINIE CALLENS, also known as Virginia Callens,
<br />as her separate property, as to an undivided one-half interest, and
<br />JOSEPH R. CALLENS, as his separate property, as to an undivided one-
<br />half interest in the remainder, have delivered to the City a deed
<br />dated October 8, 1965, conveying an easement for street purposes on
<br />the north side of Sunflower Avenue, west of Bristol Street, in
<br />consideration of certain improvements to be done by the City at said
<br />location. Said transaction is to be handled through Escrow No. 870534-
<br />hrb with First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana,
<br />California; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, HOWARD A. BEAR and ELIZABETH C. BEAR have delivered to
<br />the City a deed dated October 14, 1965, conveying an easement for
<br />street purposes at the northeast corner of Bear Street and Sunflower
<br />Avenue; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all of said deeds are without a cash consideration
<br />being paid to said grantors by the City.
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
<br />authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa
<br />Ana accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated
<br />agent, is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said
<br />deeds.

<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
<br />at its regular meeting held on the 18t~ pay of October, 1965.
