ORDINANCE NO. 881 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, ESTABLISHING SET-BACK LINES UPON NORTH SYCAMORE STREET, ON BOTH SIDES OF SAID STREET, FROM WASHINGTON AVENUE TO SEVENTEENTH STREET, EXCEPTING THE CORNER LOTS FACING WASHINGTON AVENUE, FIFTEENTH STREET AND SEVENTEENTH STREET RESPECTIVELY. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, do ordain as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires, and there is hereby established set-back lines upon the following street in the City of Santa Ana, California, between which and the respective street lines of said street it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to erect any Ouildlng, wall, fence or other structure, or place any structure thereon, to-wit: North Sycamore Street on both sides of said street, from Washington Avenue to Seventeenth Street, ten (10) feet outside of the present East and West lines respectively of said street, excepting from the provisions hereof the corner lots on said portion of North Sycamore Street fronting on Washington Avenue, Fifteenth Street and ~eventeenth Street respectively. Section 2. That the foregoing set-back lines are established after a Reso2utlon of Intention was duly passed and adopted and a hearing held thereon, after notice by publication and p~sting in the manner prescribed by Ordinance No. 813 of the City of Santa Aha, entitled, "An Ordinance Prescribing the Method of Procedure for Establishing Set-back Lines in the City of Santa Ana" and the City Council having heard and passed upon all protests or objecti~s filed or made to the establishment of said set-back lines. Section 3. That the Building Inspector of the City of Santa Ana shall refuse to issue any permit for any building, wall, fence or other structure proposed to be erected within the space between the present street lines of ~he above mentioned street~and the set-back lines established by this Ordinance. Section 4. That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($~00.00), or by imprisonment in the County Jail of the County of Orange, for a ~riod of not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, ft~m or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any portion of which any violation of this ordinance shall be permitted, continued or committed by such person, firm or corporation, and shall be punishable therefor as provided by this ordinance. ~ection 5. That the City ~lerk shall certify ~o the pass~ge of this ordinance and caus.~ the same to be published three times in the Santa Ana Daily Evenin Register, a daily newspaper printed, published and generally circulated in the City of Santa Aha, and the same shall take effect and be in force thirty (50) days from the date of its final passage.
