For each bbl. of cement or lime used other <br /> than pavement ........... .05" <br /> <br /> Section 3. <br />follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 3. <br /> <br />That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 839 is hereby amended to <br /> <br />That any person, firth or corporation, outside of the <br /> <br />corporate limits of the City of Santa Ana, and desiring to become a consumer <br />of water supplied by the City of Santa Ana, shall first make application to <br />the City Council for such service. The City Council shall have the power to <br />approve or reject such application. If said application is approved, such <br />applicant shall provide, at his or its own expense, all necessary piping, <br />meters, etc., and shall pay for the water furnished to him or it by the City <br /> <br />of.Santa Ana at the following rates, <br /> <br /> 1. For the first 1000 cu. <br />service, $2.50. <br /> <br /> 2. <br /> <br />to-wit:. <br /> <br />ft. or less in any one month through <br /> <br />For any larger service the charge shall be twice the City rate <br /> <br />specified in Section 2 of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> All other rules, regulations, service charges, <br />to these consumers. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That the owners of all fire lines in said City shall <br />pay the following rates, in addition to any other charges specified in this <br />ordinance, payable annually on the 1st day of January of each year in advance, <br />or where installed during the year after January 1st in proportion to the <br />annual charge far such fire line for the balance of said year, as follows, <br /> <br />to-wit: <br /> <br /> For each 2" fire line .......... $12.00 per year <br /> For each 3" fire line .......... 18.00 per year <br /> For each 4" fire line .......... 24.00 per year <br /> For each 6" fire line .......... 48.00 per year <br /> <br /> No fire lines shall be used for any purpose other than for the <br />extinguishment of fire, unless the same be equipped with a meter, in which <br />event the regular rate shall be charged, together with the c~st of meter. <br /> <br /> Upon failure to pay the annual charge hereinbefore s~ecified, water <br />will be shut off until such charge is paid. <br /> <br /> Fire hydrants are provided for the sole purpose of extinguishing <br />fire, and shall be opened and used only by .the Water and Fire Departments, or <br />such persons as may be authorized to do so by the Water Department. <br /> <br /> Ail persons using water through fire hydrants, or other hydrant owned <br />or controlled by the City of Santa Aha, shall be required to obtain a permit so <br />to do from the Water Department, which shall issue no such permit to any <br />person who has violated any of the proMisions of these rules, or whose <br />indebtedness to the City of Santa Aha for water used or damage to hydrants is <br />delinquent. <br /> <br /> Ail persons permitted to open fire hydrants will be required to <br />replace caps on the outlets when the same are not in use. Failure to do so <br />will be sufficient cause to prohibit further use of the hydrants, and the <br /> <br /> <br />
