RESOLUTION 65-174 REQUESTING ADDITIONAL FU~IDS <br />FROM THE $5,000,000 GRADE SEPARATION FUND FOR <br />FIRST STREET ~DERPASS (PROJECT 138) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Highway Commission allocated $612,800 <br />for the First Street Underpass from the $5,000,000 Grade Separation <br />Fund in accordance with Section 190 of the Streets and Highways Code; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the allocation was reduced to $595,425 based on the <br />City's estimate submitted on June 3, 1964, and the balance reverted <br />for other purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the final project cost will exceed said City estimate <br />due in large part to increased right of way costs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the final allocation needed is $693,000 rather than <br />$595,425; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana, the County of Orange, and <br />the two railroads have adequate funds available for their respective <br />shares of the final cost. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana does hereby request an additional allocation of <br />$97,575 from the $5,000,000 Grade Separation Fund. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of November, 1965. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br />SS <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
